I recovered my lost documnets yesterday. I would like to buy a backup software to prevent this data missing again. which would be a better choice?

(a) a bimetallic strip can be used as a thermostat in a simple fire alarm system. Describe how the fire alarm could be activated at a lower temperature.

(b) If mountaineers try to boil a kettle of water to make tea, the tea they make is weak and only warm. Explain why.

(c) why do athletes protect themselves from draughts after heavy perspiration?

PS: if anyone has a good answer within this hour, it would really be helpful. i might even give it 10pts for best answer if it is good.

I put a surveillance camera up and wanted to record the feed on my pc. I don’t really want to get a 24hr lapse vcr or a stand alone dvr (pricey). Does anybody have any suggestions on what capture device and program would be good for this job. I will get a bigger harddrive because I want to capture at least 3 days worth probably breaken down into 8hr blocks. I tried capturing with my dazzle to windows movie maker because I had it handy, but after capturing it needs also an enormous amount of time to encode.
Hope somebody can help me here.
Thanks

a few days ago i locked my car with my remote and a few hrs later, i came back and i tried to turn off my alarm or unlock the car with my remote and it did not work. the remote had new batteries and i already synchronized it. the car had battery because the alarm was going off too. i cant drive the car w/o turning off the alarm so i just unplugged the fuse for the alarm. This is a manufacture alarm, so i do not know. does anyone know the problem, or know how to fix it

Shall we discuss the issues, please? Does Obama believe port security from acts of terrorism is not important?

03/15/06 - Clinton-Yes//Obama-Not Voting/Democrats-Yes

Vote 47: S CON RES 83: Menendez Amdt. No. 3054; To provide an additional 5 million to make our ports more secure by increasing port security grants, increasing inspections, improving existing programs, and increasing research and development, and to fully offset this additional funding by closing tax loopholes.

03/15/06 - Clinton-Yes/Obama-Not Voting/Democrats-Yes

Vote 46: S CON RES 83: McConnell Amdt. No. 3061; To provide funding for maritime security, including the Container Security Initiative, improved data for targeted cargo searches, and full background checks and security threat assessments of personnel at our nation’s seaports.
Pat M: I believe you’ve answered my question. Michelle Obama worked in association with Walmart to the tune of over 0,000 at that time. Thanks, I didn’t know about Walmart, but now it makes sense.
Jane: What is there that is so special about Obama that makes him think his wife’s company’s lobbying efforts are more important than our ports’ security?

Every other Democrat voted to support the resolution, yet Obama chooses not to vote. Mind you, he didn’t vote no, he just chose not to vote.

Can you please explain how reading anything about an resolution would bring an "intelligent" person to the conclusion that, regardless of the position his party has taken on the matter (they could have had no position,) he knows so much more about the issue that the best thing he can do is, like many times before and since, not vote.

Your sophistry is becoming tiresome. Do your homework….or at least try to think for half a second before responding with such robotic drivel.

Without having a monthly fee for an installed alarm system.
What are some ideas to make your home more safe from break-in/burglary?

we have technology or gadgets that gives out a persons information that others can access and know all bout that person.we may not now it but people can track by the use of the gadgets we have. we have internet where people can just look up your information or hijack it…they can get your bank accout, security numbers and sometimes government can look at your records.cellphones that can locate you. we have phishing were a person is lured via-email to a fake web site and tricked into revealing personals data and gives people to get it.even things like this happen do you feel that we need privacy because of that or it’s okey as long as technology is there to make you feel secured.

My sister has a Toshiba R10-101 Tablet laptop. It’s 5 years olds and she says the HDD protection keeps coming on. E.g if the table shakes.

Could that mean there is a loose cable inside the laptop, or is the HDD failing?

I have no access to the laptop currently, but I have suggested to backup all the important data.

Trying to decide between which firewall is the better choice
if I have to choose. I would prefer to run both, but I’m
afraid that it will cause a conflict on my computer.

My wife and I are thinking about getting a home security system. We live in the Los Angeles area. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I need to upgrade the home hard drive - my 40 giggers are running out of space. Currently I have a second hard drive and drag my data folder to it occasionally to serve as my backup. Any other recommendations in terms of cost and speed? Thanks

I think I may upgrade RAM on a computer. Are there security risks from selling the old RAM, on say, Ebay? I know this sounds like a stupid question but I don’t know if the person who bought it would be able to access previous saved data or anything I did on the computer. Thanks.
OK, yeah thats what I thought I just wanted to make sure…

Please provide the most accurate information possible.

popups keep coming up wanting me to scan and then buy their product.

I can not open any files on my desktop, can not go into start menu to go into control panel, or documents, or even do a search. The windows close and a warning window pops up and says Data execution prevention-microsoft windows. to help protect your computer, windows has closed this program. Also says that it helps protect against damage from viruses and other security threats. Have run a virus scan and it did not find anything. What can the problem be?
I have not downloaded anything. Have done system restore, does not help. Can get into programs through the pull up menu and if it is an icon on the desktop, can not get into the folders on the desktop

If you had a neighbor with home security cameras outside his home, would you think nothing of it or think he was creepy?

How can a potential virus get into my e-mail inbox? I did not open–just deleted, so no harm, but I’m perplexed on how it even got that far if I’m so "protected". I have AVG Anti-Virus, Windows Firewall, Spy Bot, SpyWare Blaster, and AdAware, and a potential nightmare still got into my computer. Is this normal??? Any other security measures I should add? Thanks to all in advance.

My cousin is living at our house, a 15 year old boy. He is having trouble waking up in the morning. His alarm clock is SO loud, it wakes my parents up, and he doesn’t wake up for about a minute. After he wakes up, he just presses snooze. He woke up to let the dog out of the room, but then he just went back to sleep, so putting the clock across the room is not the answer. I’m thinking one that vibrates under his pillow, or one that squirts cold water on him. He just needs to wake up in time for breakfast in the morning.
He does not have a cell phone (and won’t get one soon) and I am at college. I’m trying to help solve this problem for my parents.
