I need simple step by step directions on how to remove Total Security from my computer, or I need a 100% FREE virus scanner that will take it off. I have vista, so please please please help me :)

My boyfriend works nights and I work days. I am never home to wake him up. The alarm does not work. We have tried setting more than one alarm and none of them wake him up. If you have any ideas let me know please…

I would like to install an alarm for my car. I want to get one that does not make the chirp sound when you activate it. It will only sound if it is tampered with. Any suggestions?

All of my keys work, jsut not the right way. Ex) 1,2, and 3 work properly but 4 5 and 6 act like 1 2 and 3 etc. Cancel/off acts like clear and the center select bottons acts like the down key.
It was standing in an inch of water for a couple minutes and wasn’t submerged or anything. The battery charges fine and I can get calls, texts and the alarms still works. Everything is fine except the key pad is confused.

though the network connection indicator(2 comps screen at the right bottom of our comp screen) show no traffic. Is zone alarm indicating some data bypassing the system local area netwotk 2 comp indicator?

I have upgraded to DSL from Dial-Up. I don’t want to go out and buy more. I’m also not that savey with computers. It a expensive suite thats free with my ISP. Can anyone help me? I’m all alone here in Monterey and the Ocean does not give me the answer.

All Clintonite’s accuse us for passing the buck, if we blame Clinton for this but he is stilll to blame, Clinton is the man to blame for the lives lost in Iraq…

Only 2 weeks after Clinton took office the US was attacked then 5 more times the steps he took would be in fact his blame if he left America in danger…..

Clinton had obligations he never faced, he was more worried about leaving office with a budget, that he would be remembered for.

Clintonite’s blame the republican control congress in his term. Clinton Let bin Laden Slip Away and Metastasize Republicans in congress urged him to accept when Sudan offered up the terrorist and data on his network.

President Clinton and his national security team ignored several opportunities to capture Osama bin Laden and his terrorist associates.

Blame Clinton he earned that right!

I’d like to hack an old cellphone with camera. Can the video that normally goes to the screen be diverted to somekind of output device? Ideally I would like to transmit the video via wifi.
OK - that’s not the direction I was trying to head, but is a nice alternative. Old School Samsung phone - with camera in the flip lid w/display on other side. Can’t feed the CCD (?) in to a USB cable, maybe somekind of small project board in the middle, buffer, amp, graphics chip, battery powered wifi card of some type.

Folks, this is the data that provides the foundation for the Alarmists claim of ‘Man-did-it’ global warming! Am I the only one who smells a Rat?

Taking a bite out of climate data
23 09 2009
The Dog Ate Global Warming

Interpreting climate data can be hard enough. What if some key data have been fiddled?

By Patrick J. Michaels, National Review Online

Imagine if there were no reliable records of global surface temperature. Raucous policy debates such as cap-and-trade would have no scientific basis, Al Gore would at this point be little more than a historical footnote, and President Obama would not be spending this U.N. session talking up a (likely unattainable) international climate deal in Copenhagen in December.

Steel yourself for the new reality, because the data needed to verify the gloom-and-doom warming forecasts have disappeared.

In the early 1980s, with funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, scientists at the United Kingdom’s University of East Anglia established the Climate Research Unit (CRU) to produce the world’s first comprehensive history of surface temperature. It’s known in the trade as the “Jones and Wigley” record for its authors, Phil Jones and Tom Wigley, and it served as the primary reference standard for the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) until 2007. It was this record that prompted the IPCC to claim a “discernible human influence on global climate.”

So the weather data that go into the historical climate records that are required to verify models of global warming aren’t the original records at all. Jones and Wigley, however, weren’t specific about what was done to which station in order to produce their record, which, according to the IPCC, showed a warming of 0.6° +/– 0.2°C in the 20th century.

Now begins the fun. Warwick Hughes, an Australian scientist, wondered where that “+/–” came from, so he politely wrote Phil Jones in early 2005, asking for the original data. Jones’s response to a fellow scientist attempting to replicate his work was, “We have 25 years or so invested in the work. Why should I make the data available to you, when your aim is to try and find something wrong with it?”

Reread that statement, for it is breathtaking in its anti-scientific thrust. In fact, the entire purpose of replication is to “try and find something wrong.” The ultimate objective of science is to do things so well that, indeed, nothing is wrong.

So the question remains: What was destroyed or lost, when was it destroyed or lost, and why?

All of this is much more than an academic spat. It now appears likely that the U.S. Senate will drop cap-and-trade climate legislation from its docket this fall — whereupon the Obama Environmental Protection Agency is going to step in and issue regulations on carbon-dioxide emissions. Unlike a law, which can’t be challenged on a scientific basis, a regulation can. If there are no data, there’s no science. U.S. taxpayers deserve to know the answer to the question posed above.

So Paul…. what I am reading between the lines of your statement…. is that it is okay to deny access to data that was acquired with U.S. taxpayer dollars?

For your home protection, which one of the three would you choose, a home security alarm, a mean and trained dog or a gun?

1. What makes a virus different than a Trojan horse?

2.A program that gains access to your system by pretending to be a useful or interesting program is

3. How does an anti virus program detect viruses? (Keep your answer short, just the basics)

4. A virus is most likely to travel from computer to computer by;

a. The Internet
b. Removable media, (disks, thumb drives, … )
c. Email
d. Infected Web pages

I want to know the best alarm system for a car?
What kind of an alarm would you need for1 of the car’s you’ve seen In the Fast And The Furious movie?

Sharon’s water breaks. "She feels better that a doctor happens to be there, but she starts to get upset because she doesn’t want to have her baby in this hospital," sighs Case. "The baby is coming early, which isn’t a good sign, and Sharon has had problems with delivery before. She wants to be in a regular hospital in case something goes wrong."

As Dr. Taylor tries to call an ambulance, Adam tells him that Ashley thinks she’s going into labor as well. "Stress is probably bringing it on, but who knows? The mind is a very amazing thing," observes Davidson. "I think Ashley’s subconscious is trying to figure out if this baby is real or not, so it’s time to prove it. She could’ve accepted that it was a hysterical pregnancy, but no one is telling her that. I think she’s slowly trying to convince herself that there’s no baby."

Adam, who saw Sharon in labor, tells Dr. Taylor to deliver Sharon’s baby himself. "Adam then sets off a fire alarm and a patient escapes," explains Muhney.

Adam goes back to Ashley and tells her that the hospital is in lockdown. "She tells Adam that he has to deliver her baby," Davidson explain. "He finds Dr. Taylor’s bag in the room, so he gives her some medication and she masses out."

Meanwhile, Dr. Taylor looks after a worried Sharon. "She gets upset that she can’t be moved," explains Case. "The doctor says everything will be fine because he’s delivered lots of babies before. But Sharon is concerned."

Finally, the baby (a little girl) is delivered and Sharon names her Faith. "Sharon is completely exhausted and a little delirious, so she passes out," explains Case.

Down the hall, Ashley wakes up and Adam tells her that she had the baby — but a nurse came in and took the infant away. "She’s starting to realize that something is wrong and she’s going, ‘There’s no baby. I know there’s no baby.’ She gets up and Adam asks where she’s going and she says, ‘I’m going to see if I had a baby.’ Before she can leave, he says, ‘I’ll go get the baby.’"

Adam runs over to Sharon’s room where Dr. Taylor is holding baby Faith in his arms. "In all the chaos, Adam takes Sharon’s baby," says Muhney. "Dr. Taylor is outraged, but there’s nothing he can do since Adam is blackmailing him. Adam is really flying by the seat of his pants when it comes to scheming."

Adam takes the newborn to Ashley’s room and lays the baby in her arms. "Lo and behold, there’s her daughter," sighs Davidson. "So now Ashley’s convinced that she gave birth. There’s no doubt in her mind."

Unconscious, Sharon is rushed to Genoa City Memorial and asks for her baby as soon as she wakes up. "That’s when she’s told the baby died," says Case. "Obviously, she gets very upset. It’s devastating for her, although this is not the same as when Cassie died. She was a child that Sharon had raised for many years, so losing Cassie is much different than losing Faith. But still, this baby meant a lot to her because it was Nick’s and also Cassie’s prophecy."

Dr. Taylor tells Sharon that her dead infant had deformities. "I think that’s why she ends up accepting the death, but it’s still very painful for her," says Case.

Nick goes to the hospital and realizes something is wrong as soon as she sees Sharon. "It’s really hard for her to tell him because she didn’t want him to deal with the loss of another child," notes Case. "He lost Cassie, Summer almost died and then this."

The grieving parents ask to see their daughter. "Dr. Taylor tells him they shouldn’t do that because of the deformities," says Case. "The doctor suggests they do the cremation right away and Sharon agrees without ever seeing her baby."

Meanwhile, Adam and Dr. Taylor work to keep Ashley from being examined by another doctor. Explains Muhney, "It’s going to be quite an emotional roller-coaster ride."

I’d like to make a backup copy of "My documents" on DVD-R disks.

The "My Documents" folder contains 13GB of data.

I have DVD-R disks that can hold 4.7GB of data; therefore, it should require 3 disks to copy all of my files.

My question: How does the computer know when to stop copying data to a disk to prevent the process from stopping in the middle of a Word document?

Would this have to be a manual thing where I would chose which documents, photo’s, and video will go on each disk so that I don’t exceed the 4.7GB per disk? I’m a bit "fuzzy" on this. Can someone help clear this up for me?

I have a software program on my computer called "Nero SmartStart" which came with some hardware I bought (probably my DVD writer. I assume I’ll use this software to do the copying is that correct? Or can I do it another way?

If I install Kaspersky 2009 Internet security, do I have to remove my zone alarm fire wall & Avast anti virus first, & if I do will my computer be unprotected in that time, also is that a good choice.

I could use Mcafee Internet security instead

It a newer computer and its running xp
It has Total Security on it but it has expired but it still scans
last scan
malicious programs (2), viruses (26), adware (2), spyware (6), tracking cookies (2)
It wont remove it unless we buy the program and right now we don’t have the money.
The background has changed to blue and says "Warning! Your’re in danger! Your computer is infected with spyware!" and more but didn’t want to type it all.
And every minute the icons and start bar and mouse pointer disappears and than comes back and a window pops up saying "Another program is currently using the file."
and anything you was on is closed down.
Firefox or Explorer wont open and nothing works in control panel after opening the control panel.

I was told to uninstall total security but
1. i cant do anything in the control panel so i cant open the uninstaller
2. i cant open any program including the internet
3. i can even find the data folder for total security in program files or data files.
4. alls i can do is open folders or so far thats all i can figure out
i forgot to add that i can’t even get into safe mode or any of the other chooses but normal
and iv already to tried to do the usb thing but the computer wont even let the program download
I can’t get into safe mode when i try it just goes black and back to the window to select
safe mode
safe mode with networking …

with a "flair for thinking on your feet"?

Would you be interested in this job?

London, September 27 (ANI): British security agency MI5 is urging women to apply for 25,000 pounds per year mobile surveillance officer roles.

The unusual step comes at a time when the security services are suggested to be desperately short of women to carry out surveillance operations on the 2,000 terror suspects, being monitored up and down the country.

However, the agency wants that only women who are "competent and careful" drivers, and "capable of using A-Z and Philips Road maps" apply for the post.

"Surveillance plays a vitally important role within the Security Service and is a key investigative resource," the Daily Star quoted the advert posted on the MI5 website as reading.

"Mobile surveillance officers follow targets of national security investigations.

"It is all about observing the people or places, either on foot or by vehicle.

"Due to operational requirements, we particularly welcome applications from women and ethnic minorities," the advertisement said.

The ad specifies that the type of people being recruited must be highly observant with a "flair for thinking on your feet", and an ability to operate specialist equipment.

It warns applicants that they must first pass a 75-day course to test their physical and mental strength. The spy agency is also looking for psychologists, electrical technicians, language specialists, computer experts, and behavioural scientists. (ANI)
Edit: Bear…you in a dress…will not be inconspicuous enough for a spy…! : )

Im rookie video kinda guy, but always interested in technology and professional computer techie. So Is there anyways i can setup my PANASONIC GS320 as a wireless security camera like so I have it set on my tripod hidden somewhere and I can view it on my laptop?
