Just curious, it has only happened twice now once while I was sleeping and the other while I was at work but I have the clifford matrix alarm on my car with the pager and all of a sudden it starts my car. Like yesterday my keys were sitting on my desk and it just started.

My business recently upgraded its computers. When we tried to install our Quickbooks 2003 on the new system, we realized it was actually an upgrade and requires 2002 (or earlier) to be installed first. The problem is we do not have 2002 anymore.

We would like to buy a new copy of Quickbooks 2008, but we do not know if out data will be restored to 2008 using the 2003 backups that we have.

Will this work, or are we stuck having to track down a copy of 2002?

My nan has a friend who got beaten by her husband and became a drunk and left town. No one has seen her for years. Is there anyway of tracking her down ?

(Not by police, they wouldn’t due to data protection act)

Can they review the tapes after you’ve left (without being caught), identify you and arrest you?

Security Center is a resource hog and I would love to prevent it from starting, but am unsure if it affects the other McAfee services.

Introduction
You are the Network Manager at a major finance company. The company operates from a
single Head Office and employs two classes of sales staff who work from their homes.
Recently, the Management has set aside a budget to equip its sales force with a mixture of
portable notebook PCs and Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) so that staff can provide
appropriate advice to customers and also create suitable quotes for the company’s products.
As part of this development the sales staff will need to communicate electronically with head
office.
Senior Sales Staff
These members of the sales force will be supplied with a suitable Notebook PC and portable
printer so that they can deliver the company’s message via a PowerPoint presentation,
compile and print suitable quotations for insurance products, check a central database for
available products, perform queries on existing customer records, send and receive e-mail,
and complete sales orders online.
Normal Sales Staff
These staff members will be supplied with a suitable PDA which will allow them to perform
the following tasks; check a central database for available products, perform queries on
existing customer records, send and receive e-mail, and upload completed sales orders.
Note that the key function for both types of user is the ability to communicate with the
company’s central system and therefore the establishment of an appropriate secure data
communications method is of paramount importance.
However, before this can be achieved the expenditure has to be fully justified and a project
plan has to be produced to cover the expected work involved in the implementation of the
new system.
Aims
To produce a feasibility report outlining the case for the provision of a remote working
system within the company and to develop a comprehensive project plan for its
implementation. These two documents will form the basis of a presentation to the
management in order to convince them that the proposed solution is justifiable and practical.
In addition, you are required to produce a brief report detailing the role of Network Manager
in the proposed project.
This assignment has been designed to ensure that you are familiar with the various aspects of
designing, planning, and implementing such a system of remote working within an
organisation.

Task 1
Produce a report which outlines the benefits of implementing a remote working system for
the company. In your report you should:
• list the potential requirements of the basic scenario outlined in the Introduction
• explain the advantages and possible disadvantages of implementing a remote
working system within the company
• make estimates of the various costs of implementing a remote working system - remember
that, as well as the initial costs of buying the equipment, there will be costs associated
with security, support and maintenance, for example. (There may well be other costs and
benefits that you identify.)
Task 2
Produce a comprehensive project plan for the implementation of a remote working system
within the company. This should include the following:
• a brief overview of current data communication technologies which may be employed
including both wired and wireless solutions (detail both hardware and software required)
• a design for a suitable communications network using an appropriate topology for the
requirements of the company
• a list of the hardware and software required for the company’s remote working system,
• a schedule for the installation of cabling, communications links, hardware, network
operating system and associated applications software.
Task 3
Write a brief report detailing the various rights and responsibilities for your role as the
Network Manager in charge of the mobile communications project

i pplied to a job on the guardian.co.uk website which is a tabloid newspaper, i then get an email saying my identity has been stolen by hackers who infiltrated the websites security and stole my data. what can i do?

i also used to be in the royal navy and a few years after i left i received a similar letter from them saying my identity/data may or may not have been stolen from a laptop computer. i di not follow this up but i now think things have gone to far, how do i get compensation for these lapses insecurity or how do i seek help on this matter?

Im lookin 2 improve my apt. @ times i always worry if my apt will eva b broken in or if my stuff will b stolen. i want hidden cameras as well as known ones as well in my apt. also, i need sum type of device dats not 2 cheap nor 2 expensive 2 scare intruders off if he/she eva opens my window or door.

Hi, my Saxo has givin up the will to live and im scrapping it as its not worth getting it fixed. It had an aftermarket alarm and central locking fitted by previous owner and my new car doesn’t have either, so i would like to remove, then fit the alarm onto my new car. but i don’t know how.

i have eset smart security. I know kaspersky and g-data are the best and update more often but eset i know is close becuase of it heuretics. Should i feel safe with what i got or should i consider to upgrade because the rate of detection is really that much better? i know on pc world it rates kaspersky as quite better but both the version of the review of eset smart security(acutally is nod32) on their and kasperksy is older versions then now. do you think kaspersky has taken off from eset or do you think eset has caught up or do you think the difference between them are about the same as last time? Should i feel safe with eset smart security? is it better then when nod32 was tested and has it caught up to kaspersky and g-data if not how close has it gotten to them?
dont try to insult windows in front of me i am a compsci major and very computer savy i know the insides and outs of all operating systems and considering i have spent many years on developing software and developing websites and servers i know mac and linux are secure but are generation behind developement of microsoft in compatibility i would rather wast 10% of my processing power to make up for the security problems in windows with a virus protector then be incompatible with most software out their. incompatibility is not a way of security for me but if it is for you have fun with word processing and fire fox. and old compilers.
i agree but thier reviews are of older versions of both virus software i am wondering if any one has information on the new software from both companies eset and kaspersky and wondering if they are both reliable and if they are still the best and how secure both of them are?
and elena is any of those os fully compatible with my 7800gtx gpu i dont think so learn your facts before you make your computer incompatible with the world. if it was compatible with every thing and many people used it many of us compsci geeks would make viruses to exploit the weeknesses in linux too, to make linux have to update their security problems to but no one does becuase low population uses it. and the other half of the developers know they cant get much information off of the 20% of people on linux when they can attack 48% on windows. but trust me if they wanted to they could exploit the weeknesses of linux very easily especially that it is open source they see everything the only good thing is that you will have more updates quicker because it is open source but it would be just as big as a battle.
great i will test it out with awft and if it is week i will disable the firewall or just install the simple nod32 wich also have and install a strong single firewall i would switch to kaspersky but i dont have the subscription to that and i get eset products for free through my school. but if i have to for firewall protection i would switch thanks though.

my evil neighbor who tried to kill my dog and is killing my cats now has 2 sec cams on his house pointed/facing my house.

is it safe. what is it. how Do i remove i

Home Remedies

1. If you are choking on an ice cube, don’t panic. Simply pour a cup of
boiling water down your throat and presto! The blockage will be almost
instantly removed.

2. Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting
someone else to hold them while you chop away.

3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by simply
using the sink.

4. High blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a while,
thus reducing the pressure in your veins.

5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from
rolling over and going back to sleep when you hit the snooze button.

6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be
afraid to cough.

7. Have a bad toothache? Hit your thumb with a hammer, then you will forget about the toothache.

8. Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
9. AND….. Sometimes we just need to remember what The Rules of Life really are: You need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn’t, use the duct tape.

10. If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You have another chance!

11. And finally… Be really good to your family and friends. You never know
when you are going to need them to empty your bedpan.

I want to legally access recorded surveillance camera video at the business I work for. I do not want to talk to security about my rights and I want to legally copy some recorded surveillance camera video onto a CD or DVD. What are my rights? How do I legally do this?

I want alot of protection and i heard that if you have alot of them installed they interrupt and its less protection. i think thats BS… but maybe im wrong. can i disable zone alarm anti-virus and then be ok with AVG just running and having zone alarm as a firewall? then run est nod32 every like week but not having it constantly running?

I was trying to send a text message from verizon online, but it requires one of those security boxes with the letters and numbers in it. When I entered the characters, as they were, no matter how many different ways I entered the data (capitalized, uncapitalized, spaces, etc.) it would not let me pass. The same thing has been happening to me on yahoo and facebook. What is wrong and how can I fix it-and what are these things for?

A program called Cyber Security somehow installed itself on my computer and has made my life miserable. It scans my computer whether I like it or not and I am unable to uninstall or remove it. Suggestions anyone?
