I’m looking to get window film for home security. I’ve looked at several websites that give information on the product, but found nothing about the cost. Does anyone know how much it might cost?

I have an ADT system installed here that I never use; can’t afford the monthly fee and the witch I bought the house from never left me any info about it as promised. It must be ten years old; I’ve been here six. I am having my sliding glass doors replaced, and there are sensors on it. I’m supposed to have the sensors removed, but I’m wondering — is there a point? System must be outmoded, can’t afford to have ADT come here to do that on top of all the other expense. How is it hooked up? Can the installers just dispose of the old doors with the sensor on it without causing a problem? Thank you.

My mom just got married and is on her honeymoon & my grandmother is staying with me. we just moved into our house and I don’t know how to ‘arm’ the system; it is ACRON. my great dane sleeps in our game room and he started barking agressively at the back door & growling-you know. he is 2 years old & is not aggressive…. at all. there are no dogs behind us & no woods. i went outside with him to he backyrd and I heard the gate squeak. i brought my dane and German Shephrd to front yard but I was too afraid to go towards my garage behind the house. I can’t call my mom, she’s in Mexico & I don’t know how to arm the system. I do know the code, but no matter what I tried I couldn’t figure it out. It does work, I set it off on accident last Thursday. Thank you so much if you can help. And I do have a gun if something were to happen.

I live in a terrace house behind a high street of shops and between my house and the shops is a large back alley. Currently there is alot of anti social behaviour going on in the back alley like people setting bins on fire, vandalism and burglary (including my house) just to name a few things! The police and the fire service are always been called out and the people who do these things just get away with it!

I really want to install a CCTV camera on my house pointing into the back alley to see everything that goes on and hopefully catch some people red handed, but I really no nothing about the rules of having CCTV and how to run and record CCTV cameras.

So firstly, am I allowed to put a camera on my house pointing at my back gate and the back alley? Where are the best places to buy cameras? (UK) How do I record what the cameras see?? I have one very slow computer. Could having cameras on my house make my house a target? Anything else you might think will help me??

I cant find any information on who I can contact to install or who just carries burgular bars for windows.Only ones I come across are websites from the UK .I need 2 bars for 2 windows aproximatley 28" wide x 38" tall . Anybody know of a place in Chicago that carries and installs burgular bars ?? Iam looking for some steel or metal bars with about 6inch space between them for installing them on the outside of the window.Would like to be able to lock them on the inside then maybe they can swing open .About how much am I looking to spend ?? I would appreciate any help .

Police watched video and went to home ower where they live down the street -and owner of other car confess to police that they hit and ran from acident - but here in Michigan we have a no-fault law - My daughters car only has PLPD insurance which means its not covered for any thing but driving it and being insured in Michigan - So How do We make them Pay for All the damages to car -its probable ,000 worth of damage -HELP

So i tried turning the alarm on and it says there is a fault at location 02 i know which door that is but i dont know how to turn the fault off i did it yesterday but i was just pushing random buttons lol so anyone have any advice?!?! it keeps saying its not ready to arm

We moved into a house which has a wired in security system which the previous owner discontinued the monitoring service. Therefore I assume the system is deactivated but every time a door or window is opened the sensors cause a beep at the keypad. At first I thought it was a great way to know when a door or window was being opened but it has become annoying as it sometimes beeps when nothing has been opened. Could someone please tell me how to disconnect the system to remove the beeping noise?

we are finishing our basement and i am thinking of putting a security camera down there to help keep and eye on my preschool aged son when i’m upstairs. how big of an area can one camera watch? will i be able to hook it up to my TV or computer to watch? are they pretty easy to install? if it has zoom or pan/tilt, how do i control these? a joystick?

I was thinking of buying a home safe to put money, stock certificates, jewellery, documents, etc. because my safety deposit box at the bank is just too small and hard to access and I don’t store things like money or passports in it because I can’t access it when I want to. So is a home safe really that safe? If someone did break into my home and find the safe how long would it take for them to open it?

Is there anything I should look for in a safe? What’s the least amount I should spend?
I don’t want to have some kind of fancy Fort Knox grade safe. I just want something were if a burglar broke in, they wouldn’t be able to get at anything in the safe before they get caught. I would bolt it to the wall/floor…I just don’t know where yet, as it has to be accessible by me too. A waterproof safe is not much of a need, I would probably place it on the second floor of my house, and I live at the top of a hill were it never floods. I noticed theres quite a bit of a price difference between just a security safe and a fire safe, compared to one that has both. Maybe I should buy a security safe and put a cheaper fire proof box inside?

We have 2 dogs. 1 is white, the other black. The white dog lives in the house, we make the boon dog sleep outside tied to a tree. Our slave tried to rob the boon dog’s house. We think the black dog might have been in on it, but we cant prove it. There is only 1 way in and no door, yet the stupid bastards still tried to break in……thats how we know it was the 2 blacks……our dog n slave. I was thinking of getting a cheap Black powder revolver and keep it loaded until needed. I’m the only one in my house so others touching it won’t be in any concern.

Does black powder expire? How long should keep it in storage until it needs to be re-loaded and cleaned without shooting it?

We have a remote control gate, beams across the gate so that if a car cuts the beam the gate will stop and open again so that the car doesn’t get crushed. Is there a way to do something in the circuits or whatever so that when you drive into your drive way you can close the gate with another button which will close the gate but also deactivate the beams so that nothing will stop the gate from closing. Please could some tell me how this can be done or where I can find some more information. Please, help urgent, its a security matter.
