Surveillance Equipment & Supplies Archives

Congress just passed a 600 Million Dollar Bill that will add Border Patrol Agents as well as Customs Agents. They will also upgrade the Communication and Surveillance Equipment. They will use Drones to detect people attempting to cross the Border. Also 3,000 National Guardsmen have been deployed at the border. Since President Obama took the first step to secure the border, will Conservatives meet him half way?
Wino Forever, you must be drunk. There is no way can we put 150,00 Troops at the Border when we are fighting 2 Wars. We cannot even put 10,000 when we are fighting 2 Wars. If we were at peace, then maybe we could put 10,000, but certainly not now. That would be irresponsible. Drones can do the job of 10,000 Soldiers, having 15 Drones would be the same as having 150,000 Troops at the border.

It seems that the Anti-immigration folks are the same Anti-Obama people. For them, Pres. Obama can not do anything good for this country. Now that President Obama signed the border security bill that includes 1,000 new agents, 0 million in border security and much more, what are they complaining about?

Obama signs border bill; includes 1,000 new agents

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama on Friday signed into law a 0 million border security that will put more agents and equipment along the Mexican border.

Obama signed the bill in the Oval Office alongside Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. The measure will fund the hiring of 1,000 new Border Patrol agents to be deployed at critical areas along the border, as well as more Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. It also provides for new communications equipment and greater use of unmanned surveillance drones.

Some Republicans, including Arizona Sen. John McCain, say that while the legislation is a start, it falls short by not dramatically increasing the number of customs inspectors along the border and not funding a program that charges illegal immigrants with a low-level crime.

Arizona has been at the epicenter of the border security debate since it passed a law directing law enforcement officers to be more aggressive in seeking out illegal immigrants. Although a federal judge has since struck down some of the law’s major provisions, it remains a rallying cry for those who say Washington has lost control of the border.

www.epathj.com is a website which wholesale china cheap surveillance equipment and accessories.

first off, my apartment complex has been the target of several (more than 30) different thefts and vandalism in the past few weeks with no response from the manager and very little from police, I set up surveillance equipment in the cab of my pickup facing out my back window with 14-16 hours of recording time, after a few nights of doing this i caught something tuesday night, i got a very clear and detailed footage of two mexican guys stealing a license plate off a dodge truck, on the video it clearly shows what the guys look like and it clearly shows the license plate of the car they were driving. I e-mailed parts of the video to the sheriffs departments web site, they replied by saying that i was in violation of the law by recording them and that i could in fact be fined and\or arrested for setting up the equipment in my truck…….WHAT THE H E L L !!!!!!…….Is there any thing i can do with this video legally??…..thx…sorry so long.

General Information
JVC Kenwood Holdings is a Japanese company based in Yokohama Japan. The company formed from the merger of Victor Company of Japan, Limited (JVC) and Kenwood Corporation (Kenwood) on October1, 2008. The company operates in five business segments. The car electronics segment manufactures and sells car audios, car audio and visual (AV) system, as well as car navigation system. The home& mobile electronics segment manufactures and sells video cameras, liquid crystal televisions, projectors, pure audios, stereo set and portable audios. The professional systems engaged in the manufacture and sale of business land mobile radio equipment, video surveillance equipment, commercial audio, video and display equipment. The entertainment segment is engaged in the plan, production and sale of music and video software, the manufacture of compact discs (CDs) and digital versatile discs (DVDs). The others segment is engaged in the manufacture and sale of radio frequency ID systems, weather satellite data reception systems, other electronic devices, etc. The company has 134 subsidiaries and 11 associated companies.

Integration purpose
Through the management integration JVC Kenwood expanding the scope of previous cooperative efforts, which were limited to such aspects of operations as development production and procurement in common business segments car electronics and home audio, to other existing business segments and facilitate expansion into new domains in addition to reinforcing such business activities as marketing and sales.
As for common businesses, the companies focusing the car electronics business into a strong profit center and increase the profitability of the Home Audio business by expanding the role of J&K Technologies to general procurement and manufacturing and ultimately, position the company as an operating company standing shoulder to shoulder with JVC and Kenwood.
Through such policy, both companies will maximize synergy and enhance unified global corporate value while creating new corporate value. Both companies striving to establish solid positions as world-leading manufacturers specializing in AV products.

Overview of the fiscal year
The global economy in the fiscal year under review continued to be stagnant, affected by the economic crisis that was sparked by the financial turmoil originating in the US. However, signs of recovery have become apparent in some industries as a result of aggressive economic measures taken by governments in a number of countries and economic growth in emerging countries.
Under such circumstances, operating results of the JVC Kenwood Group started recovering in the second quarter, after bottoming out in the first quarter. This was a result of efforts such as structural reforms that were implemented in the previous fiscal year and effect of the merger. The Group posted an operating profit in the fourth quarter for the first time since the third quarter of the previous fiscal year, posting a record profit after the management integration.

Net Sales
Net sales for the fiscal year under review were 398,663 million yen. This reflects the curtailment of the display segment in Europe and the slow recovery in sales in the camcorder segment of the Home&Mobile Electronics business as well as a delay in recovery of order-receiving in the Professional Systems business and shortage of hit movies and music in the Entertainment business. However, the Car Electronics business started recovering in the second quarter.
Net sales for the fourth quarter stood at 93,237 million yen, down only about 11.4 billion yen (10.9%) from a year earlier since the sales increase in the Car Electronics business partially made up for the sales decrease in the Home&Mobile Electronics business.
Compared with the third quarter of the fiscal year net sales decreased only by about 8.9 billion yen (8.7%) partly thanks to a sales recovery in the Professional Systems business.

So besides the internal reserves for maintaining domestic control, as well as surveillance equipment, and coast guard/sea rescue, does anybody believe that this country will NOT get invaded/partitioned within a short amount of time (let’s say two years) by neighboring countries?

So, I was wondering, if you had to survive an apocalyptic/end-of-the-world scenario, and there were THOUSANDS of HUGE groups of raiders/looters [assume that there are THOUSANDS of groups of raiders and each one had AT LEAST several HUNDRED members, and all of them had top-of-the-line military hardware [tanks, artillery, bombers, fighters, spy planes, and any other military and surveillance equipment, etc.]]; how many miles do you think you would have to be away from the major cities in order to NEVER come into ANY sort of contact with ANY raiders/looters for an INDEFINITE period of time [i.e- even if you had to survive in this location for centuries, you would still have absolutely NO contact with ANY raiders/looters whatsoever]? Also, assume that you live in a very open area, so that ANY raiders in the area will see you, and that ANY raiders that see you will attack you; and assume that the raiders/looters in question are EXTREMELY desperate for supplies, and so they will be scrounging the countryside outside of towns A LOT [since the towns will have been picked clean of supplies, leaving the only supplies in the countryside], making it all the more likely that your area will be found. Finally, assume that ANY raiders that find your group will attack you, no matter how well-defended and intimidating you appear to be.

I think that 1000 miles away from any cities would be enough. How far away do you think a survivor group would have to be from cities to meet the requirements that I have stated above?

I’ve had my car vandalized twice now and broken into once in front of my own house now. This wouldn’t be surprising if I lived in a bad neighborhood or if more cars in the area were getting the same things done to them, but it’s not. The vandalisms and the break-in don’t seem related, but who knows.

Either way, long story short, I’m almost positive it’s a bunch of jacka$$es from my high school (I’m a senior in college, mind you) who caused problems with me throughout high school and now just won’t grow up.

All three incidents happened in the very early or early morning and both vandalisms caused damages over 0 (about 0 for the first one, 0 for the second). Now according to Illinois statutes, any criminal damage to property over 0, provided it doesn’t occur on a school or church property, is a class 4 felony offense, punishable with a minimum of 1 year of incarceration and a maximum of 3 years, extendable to 6.

What I’m thinking of doing is putting a surveillance camera in my living room window, pointed out towards the car so I can record any activity that happens at night. Provided the video is good enough quality, could I get a conviction with it fairly easily? How good of quality does the video have to be?

Also, if you know anything about cameras or surveillance equipment, please answer this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100607010253AAkVu9y&r=w

Thanks.
Someone said I would need to put signs that cameras are in use, or whatever I get won’t be admissible in court. Is this true?

Good tip Jay. I was actually planning on doing that. First I gotta make the salesman (if I end up buying one) say that it will get a clear picture at that distance. That way, if it doesn’t, I can take it back on the grounds that they told me could do something it couldn’t, there by providing wrongful information on the major point of buying the thing in the first place.

I am wanting to put a surveillance camera inside my house for 8 + hours and I want to connect it to my VCR. I don’t have a lot of money to buy a whole lot of equipment. What kind of equipment do I need? And that records sound.
Do I get a web cam and how long will it record?

Is he right in saying we need more Border Patrol instead of sensors, phones and other technology.

Schwarzenegger asks more Border Patrol agents

By John Marelius, UNION-TRIBUNE STAFF WRITER
March 18, 2010 at 12:04 a.m.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger yesterday told Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano that newly available stimulus money should be spent on more Border Patrol agents rather than electronic equipment, as the department plans.

On Tuesday, the Obama administration called a halt to work on a “virtual fence” on the U.S.-Mexico border — a project that had been beset by technical problems and delays. It shifted million in economic stimulus funds planned for the project to other technology, including laptop computers, radios, sensors and mobile surveillance devices.

After spending 2 million on the virtual fence with little to show for it, Napolitano ordered a freeze on two pilot projects in Arizona, essentially killing the program.

In a letter to Napolitano, Schwarzenegger appealed for more agents.

“I am entirely sympathetic to the view that a virtual fence is not a panacea for our problems,” he wrote. “Clearly, the cost and time projections for completion are not being met, and I doubt that it will be able to get back on track without some major structural changes.

“Yet I am also not convinced that buying more laptops, radios, thermal-imaging devices and other equipment for Border Patrol agents is the answer. Certainly, they should have all the resources necessary to do their jobs, but they should also have all the manpower necessary to do their jobs.”

Schwarzenegger said the federal and state governments have made progress in border enforcement, “but it has largely been when the border is fully equipped — not just when it is fully staffed.”

The governor pointed out that the problem at the border is not confined to illegal crossings, but includes drug and human trafficking as well as illegal firearms.

“Our experiences in California have taught us that we must increase the number of agents patrolling the border because there is no substitute for the human eye, experience and instinct,” Schwarzenegger said.

Why must we give .3 billion aid package to help Mexico fight cartels thumb up their nose at us except when they need us. They encourage their citizens to sneak over here, work and send the money back. Then they want MORE from the U.S. IS THIS AMAZING! ?WASHINGTON — U.S. officials and their Mexican counterparts will meet next week to assess a .3 billion aid package of helicopters and equipment designed to help Mexico fight drug cartels, the U.S. State Department announced Thursday.

The meeting Tuesday between Cabinet secretaries for President Barack Obama and Mexican President Felipe Calderon will take place as Southwest border lawmakers also head to Washington to discuss similar concerns about efforts to stem the violence erupting in Mexican cities along the border.

U.S. and Mexican officials say the Merida Initiative, now in its third and final year, called for .3 billion in aid, but only a fraction it has been delivered.

“We definitely need to look at different strategies,” said Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Laredo. “Things are getting worse in Mexico. Right across our border is a serious, serious problem.”

‘It’s taken too long’
Cuellar, chairman of the House Homeland Security subcommittee on border affairs, said lawmakers are eyeing ways to expedite the release of equipment and accelerate training called for in the Merida pact.

“It’s taken too long,” Cuellar said.

The Obama administration delegation to Mexico City will be headed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, and comes just 10 days after gunmen shot to death three Americans with ties to the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez.

That tragedy did not prompt the meeting, but galvanized support for a redoubling of efforts by both countries, Arturo Sarukhan, the Mexican ambassador to the United States, told reporters Thursday.

“It’s a good time to take stock of the strategy,” Sarukhan said.

The Pentagon delivered eight Bell helicopters to the Mexican military for surveillance, but Mexico has yet to receive the more advanced Blackhawk helicopters promised in the Merida pact.

Two U.S. aircraft designed for maritime surveillance also have yet to be delivered

The Merida Initiative, signed by Calderon and then-President George W. Bush three years ago in the resort city of Merida, signaled a new partnership between the countries in the battle against cartels.

This has happened numerous times in the last 5 years and I’m really getting disgusted. I was thinking of buying some type of surveillance equipment.

My neighbors have called police on me and my family for stupid things. Daily for 2 months police came over. How do I handle it? I thought about surveillance equipment but I’m broke. My lawyer said he can’t fix being bullied by them. Some things they have called police for:
claims I stare at them when I check my mailbox (it’s near their house),
watering trees in my yard, taking out trash to the curb, basically any time I am outside of my house. They lie about calling them names too. I work 6 days per week and I have no time to do these things if I wanted to! We go to court in a few weeks over disorderly conduct which they filed against me for flipping them off after they cursed out me and my kids. The crazy neighbors live 3 houses down, only 3 houses are on this street (new subdivision). Next to my house is an empty lot then one house between mine and the psychos. They pick on me for being divorced and raising my kids alone by choice. I have never encountered them before, I never even knew their names until the police told me last week. They told me they "lived here first" and that they "rule the neighborhood".
What can I do to keep my sanity? I just want to be left alone!
