I am installing a security system with a 16 ch DVR card. I found a few cards online within my price range. Could you please explain to me what it means for a 16 ch DVR card to have only 4 real-time channels? Does this mean I can only view 4 cameras at a time? Will all 16 channels be able to record simultaneously? Also what are output channels for? I would assume that only input channels would be able to record information from video surveillance cameras. Is this assumption correct?

I’ve had vaseline rubbed on my brand new truck and my house was egged last night while I slept. I want to catch the person whose doing this on film. Not a lot of cash on hand but need to do something. Does anyone have a suggestion or experience with a good inexpensive system?

Why or why not? This question includes use of video surveillance at restaurants, gas stations, clubs, public parks, airports, neighborhood streets, etc.

Radio Shack has wireless outdoor video cameras. That’s great, but you need to run a wire for power. So, it’s not really wireless, is it?

I already am in the process of getting my foid card and such…I really want information on video security costs. two people where video taped by a surveillance system in a mall, kidnapped a kid and then asked for a ransom to be dropped at a certain place. police caught one of the two kidnappers who came to pick the ransom. he is not talking
the two kidnappers are known to be pedophiles, would you torture the guy to find the where abouts of the kid ?

i work for a fuel distribution company and one of our fueling stations is being robbed almost nightly by a techno savvy individual. the video shows him going to the card reader inserting his card and then the camera above the reader freezes while the others located around the perimeter continue to record. what device could he be using and can i retrieve the video or prevent this from happening again? the police will not intervene until i provide them with good footage and he comes 3-4 times a week costing us thousands. help me
the surveillance system is hardwired and was set as a result of his thefts so the company has checked the system. the camera has never frozen on anyone else. he has a small cell phone like device in his hands which freezes the camera so that we cannot see him insert the drivers card and activate the pumps. the other camera’s in system still continue to run only none provide an appropriate angle.

I was given a computer by a girl I was dating a while back. She offered because it was sitting in her storage unit, and she leaves for the army soon, and wont be using it. We go to her storage unit and we load it up in my car (I can get video surveillance that proves that from the storage co.), and I spend some money on it for Vista OS and some other hardware. Are motion sensors able to record video at all or is it just surveillance cameras that do that?

I have been watching reruns of Las Vegas. They seemed to be robbed alot and had alot of problems. Is the stuff they show on the show for real? stuff like video IQ, or all the details of anywhere anyone goes they know. If this was for real that casino would be out of business. What kind of security does a real casino have?

OK, the VCR is an older time lapse surveillance unit. It has an F-type In (standard cable TV connection) and an F-type out. The only RCA out is audio. I want to convert the F-type out signal so that the RCA Video In on the monitor will accept it. The F-type out on the VCR would be sending both video and audio… right? the four girls have been found guilty of capital murder and armed robbery for their participation in a brazen daylight robbery of a supermarket during which five customers and two cashiers were murdered. each girl is directly responsible in that she fired the fatal shot for at least one of the seven murders. The women have been sentenced to die for this crime.

She was an escapee from a juvenile prison when she committed this crime, She has demonstrated zero remorse and continues to be defiant and claims because she is only 16 she shouldn’t be hanged. Nancy, age 18, refuses to accept her guilt but converted to Christianity and believes her life should be spared as a result, claims she was forced by one ot the four men who also participated in the robbery to kill her victim but a surveillance video of the crime fails to show any evidence of this.

3. Clarissa, age 26, killed two of the victims and was looked up to by the younger girls, She continues to be a non-believer in God and is not a Christian but she is deeply remorseful over what she did and while she doesn’t want to die has accepted her fate.

4. Daisy, age 29, claimed she fired accidentally and therefore had no intention of killing her victim. She had served time for manslaugher for killing her abusive husband and had only recently been released from prison. The judge ruled in sentencing this woman to death that even if she did shoot accidentally she was intentionally pointing a gun at her victim during the comission of a serious felony and thus must face the full consequences of her actions to be ‘hanged by the neck until she is dead’
