Computer Security Career / Systems Analyst?
Well, i am looking very heavily in a career in Computer Security. I will already be taking college courses toward a computer science degree. I would like to know, before i get my degree, what i could do on my own to kind of get a customed to the security field. Because anyone in the computer security field knows this is a ever growing field and has new threats everyday. So if there are any things i can kind of do on my own to learn certain aspects of field, and kind of train myself before i get my degree and head into the work field. Same thing with a systems analyst and a network engineer.
Thanks to all who answer ahead of time.

Hi
You could always try taking some professional certificates.
There are lots of different ones to chose from. Microsoft do them (MCSE) Cisco do to.
See what courses are on at your local college/Uni.
CompTIA have a security+ certificate which might be worth taking.

Or you could always try and volunteer to get some work experience at a company.. I did this at a web development company and leant A LOT! So it helped me out massively - plus it means when you leave Uni you might have a good few months professional experience.
