How can I backup my PS3 hard drive onto my macbook?
My PS3 YLoD’d on me earlier this week, Is there anyway I can backup my PS3’s data? I know how to take out the hard drive, Can I take it out and put it in my macbook???

you need to use the backup feature of the ps3 and have a fat32 formatted usb device to store the backup onto.
this can be an HDD or a very large usb thumb drive.
your ps3 will tell you if the drive you plugged in has enough space or not.
no , without a backup already you need to power up the ps3 to access your data and unfortunately if you send it for repairs it will be formatted before it’s returned so your screwed without having a backup already . the ps3 data won’t be recognised by any mac or pc .
