how do you diable a home smoke alarm?
I have one in my room and many other all around my house, at least in every room. - just want to disable the one in my room or turn it off, how do I do it? Its battery powerd. Just a normal smoke alarm.

Why do you want to disable it, it wont go off unless you have a fire
Take out the battery. Seriously, that is it. And if property damage is nothing expensive, use a hammer.
It could be an A/C power connection with a battery backup. Remove 9 volt battery or other. it will take 2 minutes to discharge then snap cover on. i wouldnt do it, you could never have enough protection.
alright, this is very complicated, so sit up straight and pay attention. REMOVE THE BATTERY.
And if you die from smoke inhalation don't blame us.
Remove the battery. That's pretty simple, eh?
