I was going to go with ADT or something similar, but I am not trying to accrue a monthly bill at this moment in time. I know that some monitoring is quite inexpensive, but please don’t give me any of these choices. I probably will go that route in the future….just not right now.

I have checked out X10 and some other ones, particularly one found on this site: http://www.efindoutthetruth.com/Alarms.htm. I was looking at the Wireless Home & Office Alarm System Package #1. I know with these systems there are no monitoring; however I can program it to call law enforcement or household numbers should there be a problem. Can someone recommend the best options available and why you think it is one of the best options. Also, please add if there are any cons BESIDES monitoring or anything else already mentioned. Thanks in advance.
