Is it better to major in computer science or network security or does it matter?
i am so confused. most ppl usually get a CS degree in IT and then they move on to whatever there field but i am not really that interested in CS but is this the better path to take than majoring in Network security. or does it really matter. if i get a CS degree than i can move into hardware/networking thru certs but if i do network security it is hard to go the software side or i can get a master’s in software engineering.

Network Security is going to have a bigger impact, since it’s growing faster each day. CS is a good choice, but right now they’re a dime a dozen.
Digital Forensics is also a good field to get into, esspecially on the Corporate side.
