Is there any way of recovering lost data in Windows?
I’ve been using Open Office on my Windows laptop for creating word documents. Yesterday, I edited one of the files, and today when I opened it, about the last 10 pages were missing. I must have accidently erased them or something yesterday… These pages are really important, does anyone know of a way to restore a backup copy of the file from yesterday or something?
Thanks

If you edited the paper and then closed it without saving it, no, there is no way to recover data (which is most likely the case since you have the previous version). If you had saved the file and THEN deleted it, there are file recovery programs that can retrieve the file even after having deleted it.
well you have overwrited the files so not really without paying for expensive software unless you try a system restore.
You may have saved it into a different location by accident. Go to Start, then search, and type in what you named the file and see if anything comes up. If not, then your data is probably not obtainable.
