Just bought a new car less than 24 hours in Az,i want to return it?
Dealer wanted to charge 0 for alarm,i declined, dealer removed alarm from car.when i got home i discovered that the alarm was part of the standard options that come with the car.should they have taken this out and should i insist that they put it back in.they also did small damage to a door part when removing alarm

The standard alarm is installed at the plant and can’t be removed because it’s a function of the onboard computer system.
The aftermarket alarm they removed supplements the factory alarm and can be removed.
It sounds as though you did the right thing by asking them to take it off because you don’t want or need it and it cost far too much.As for any damage done, expect them to make it right.
I’m not sure about this in AZ, but in Texas, if its part of a written document, the seller is obligated to follow the document to the "t" if it is signed. If said seller does not follow the contract, the contract is declared void and the buyer has the option to sue if the seller is not compliant with the agreements.
I know that in North Carolina we have 72 hours from the time you leave the car lot to return and decline to bye the car. I would think that most stats have the same type of law. No the should not have taken it out and only insist to have it put back in if you are going to keep the car. then make them fix the door.
Oh hell no,they better fix it or give you some $ back or give full amount $ back to you and you tell them keep this car,or it’s going to court, thats not a promise thats a GARUNTIE!!!
If this is really a standard then they cannot charge you for it NOR remove it.
If they did either you should contact your local state authorities. Basically it would be scamming you.
Also don’t forget that you can contact your local TV stations. They often have a person who helps out (and makes great TV report). This way you get your way AND you get to embarrass the dealer.
Good Luck.
In TN there is also a law that gives you 72 hours to take one back.
