Roommate’s locked door + alarm clock?
My roommate left for the weekend and locked her door. Her alarm clock has been going off for over an hour now and it’s driving me insane. She said that it will stop "eventually" but really, it’s been over an hour! I’ve only been living here for a couple weeks so I don’t know which switches in the fusebox correspond to which room, and I don’t want to mess anything up as I’m home alone this weekend. Any tips?? Her door was locked with a key, and it doesn’t look easy to pick. Do alarm clocks stop after say, 2 hours???

Yes, it will stop. Most after one hour, but it looks like her’s is set for two or more.
Don’t try to get into her room. If anything is missing, she will blame you.
It is something you are going to have to put up with. Make sure she adjust the clock before she leaves on her next trip.
Most alarm clocks do stop after an hour or 2.
The breaker box should be labeled. If not you need to see about having that done, its a safety issue.
Is there a hole in the middle of a door handle? If so, push a thin screw driver into the hole and it should pop the lock. It’s a safety feature for interior door handles.
If it’s a clock radio/digital type clock then yes - mine shuts off automatically after 2 hours. If she’s said it’ll stop then it probably will - she would know. However, it seems to me that she’s pretty inconsiderate to leave it on while she’s away, she couldn’t be bothered to turn the alarm switch off before she left? Geez.
You could call a locksmith but that will cost you money. Pity its not a wind up one. Why don’t you try all the trip switches. You don’t have to leave them off and the alarm clock will reset to 0.00 and flash if it doesn’t have battery in it. Do you have a friend who stand outside the room and tell you when the clock has gone quiet, while you try the trip switches?
That’s what comes with having a roommate, sometimes good but sometimes bad. You will probably have to listen to the alarm again tomorrow for over an hour, but the good news is she will be back! Be honest with her about her thoughtlessness with her alarm, and both of you come up with a plan if it ever happens again. Whether it be she pays for a locksmith to open her door at her expense, or she pay you $100 for the pain of listening to her unused alarm for 2 days? You are both adults, act like it and sort it out between yourselves!
