I have avg anti-virus and malwarebytes anti-spyware. is there any other programs i should have?
And is spyware, malware, and viruses all i should care about? Plus what are the best free programs i should have?

I just got this computer its been used though and it has something from the last people who had it called security tool i already know its a rouge anti virus but i cant figure out how to delete it it closes everything i try to get to fix it and it wont let me bring up security center also for some reason i cant see any of the icons on my desktop if anyone can help me remove this thing please help me
personal security anti-virus popped up, scared me to death, I apparently installed but did not purchase. I researched it on my iphone and found it was a scam. Wish I would have done that before installing it. Now I get pop-ups and blocked sites galore. I hate these jerks!
Ok, this fake anti-virus program just installed itself onto my computer so how can i delete it without downloading anything because everytime i download something it wont let me.

Hey everyone, There’s something really worng with my zone alarm virus scanner, when I turned my computer on some boxes popped up and said ‘Unable to load my vault’ ‘Unable to load trusted sites’ ‘Zone alarm suit has deactivated anti-virus scanning’. It said something this could be caused if the clocks has been set forward or you disabled anti-virus updates but….I didn’t disable them and the clock is fine I think. If not, how do I fix my system clock? Or enable the updates? Please help!
Do I still need a program to keep me safe from adware and other types of propaganda or does Zone Alarm do it all?
Also, I want to protect my lap top with Zone Alarm…do I need to pay again for the laptop?

Ok i need help my computers security have been shutting off lately like my mcafee security suite and my vista firewall i am scared. I am about to upgrade from vista to windows 7, but It says on the disc that data may be lost, so I want to back up my computers personal data files as well as programs (such as my anti-virus program I just installed)

I have access to several different anti-virus programs, two which are usually paid for, but i can get free through my ISP or college. So I would just like to get some of you opinions as to which is the best. The programs are:
1. F-Secure (renamed Centurylink Internet Security for ISP but powered by F-Secure)
2. Symantec Endpoint Protection (from my college’s website- provided free for student to install on
one computer.)
3. Microsoft Security Essentials (free from Microsoft’s Website).
Please list these 1-3 in the order you think is best. If you suggest another program please add it as needed.
P.S. I also occationally run scans with Malwarebytes. So this does not need to be suggested.

I accidentally lost my Window XP when I downloaded a new anti virus program and now I face losing all the data not saved in a backup disk.
I have Trend Micro on my computer now but it’s about to expire - was there when i bought it. What’s the best program out there that’s easy to use? I don’t want the free sites, I want to pay for something, install it, and not have to think about it or read the manual to get it working.
