I need an antivirus that would get rid of it… and clean my computer out… I would really appreciate it cause my computer has been wackkkk.

Given that I have an antivirus already.

norton sucks. i really hate it. why can’t hp put a better antivirus like avira or g-data? i always have to uninstall the norton whenever i buy new computer and then install g-data

i just bought a refurbished gateway desktop with vista home premium which would be the best free security center for it that is free and includes antivirus and spy ware in 1? i swort of like mcafee my mom recommends bitfender(we have a year subscription for 1 more computer) anymore that yall recomend and why or if you recommend one of these why?

Whenever I go into windows 8 inprivate mode it tells me Windows has to close (even though it doesn’t) this has been going on for a while. Also, when I went to a website I go to frequently with no problems, Windows told me it didn’t open one of the pages because of a risk of malicious of malfunctioning add ons. I used both mcafee and windows new antivirus to scan for viruses and nothing came up.

Does anyone have any idea whats going on? Is it spywear?

I can’t download comodo firewall by itself anymore and i’m wondering if having more than one antivirus will harm my computer.

I have tried everything from AVG (one of the worst antivirus) to Kaspersky (one of the best). I then have this idea of combining them all. I know that multiple security products on one computer isn’t good, causes system instability, but how about taking a bit from each one? For instance avira’s antivirus(the core only), then AVG antispyware (Ewido, probably the only thing good AVG has), and Zonealarm firewall. I know these won’t conflict because they aren’t in the same category. THey may cause my PC to load slower than usual but I think security is more important. I’ve come up with a list of stuff:

Avira Antivir (the core of the free version for antivirus protection)
AVG antispyware (for antispyware protection which includes rookit and trojan detection)
Avast Network Shield (for network protection, this isn’t a firewall, the web shiled is)
Zonealarm Firewall

This is my combination for a full internet scurity suite, I don’t like Comodo’s free one. PLease answer this is you are a professional and don’t answer just for points or I will report you. Keep in mind that I know more security than u do.

so far only avast, g data, avg and avira have been able to do that. mcafee, norton, comodo, microsoft security essentials, etc etc could not do anything to block a bad website. for example fake antivirus — only avast, avira, avg and g-data block it.

Are there any more antivirus that have such website blocking ability?

I installed the zone alarm internet security suite on my pc….and i noticed that it has anti virus and anti spyware in it……
my question is ….. do i have to install another antivirus or antispyware …. or should i continue using just these , which are going with the zone alarm firewall ?

Hp told me that symantec is the best protection for my pc…but symantec is too expesive and i see alot people complain about symantec products too much like its very slow or does it depends on the computer…..So is there any other good internet security, antivirus or antispyware protection for hp pc that are not expensive and it also has pc maintenance……

hey i’m considering getting an external HD, now what concerns me is that all PC’s in my university r infected (yes that’s sad!) and they have a stupid proxy that prevents any antivirus (or any other software) from updating (sad too!)…but there r lots of data that i constantly need from these PC’s!

now my Q is: is there any technology/software for external HD’s to protect them from an infected PC? is it found in all externals or should i make sure it’s there? what brand do u think i should go for?

I am still confuse with Internect Security (Antivirus). How can I check what Antivirus that my computer has been using? and What is "Window Firewall" at Control Panel?, is this Antivirus already built in with computer? Thanks.

im going to replace smaller bytes antivirus but it says "windows cannot find c:\progra~1\zone labs\zone alarm cpes_clean.exe.make sure u type the name correctly and try again. What does this mean and what should I do now. thanks

My Computer is infected with some viruses.All my Exe file are infected.when I am scanning with some Antivirus.They Delete all Exe files. I want to recover it and save my Data.I currently installed Bitdefender Internet Security 2007.But also deleting my Exe files.please give me some usefull suggission.

I have the trial version and it looks very good. Do you think is it a good antivirus?

Last evening, all of a sudden my screen went wild with all kinds of alerts popping up saying I was infected with trojans. It masqueraded itself as a legitimate windows anti-viral clean-up tool, and I mistakenly downloaded antivirus-bf4_2006-71.exe to my documents folder. My current downloads said it also from bestantivirusscanv4.com. I got on Yahoo Answers and spent the rest of the evening and today following malware advice. I am a homemaker and not computer saavy. How do I know if I’ve gotten rid of everything it may have put on my computer?

This is what I did:
I deleted the antivirus-bf4_2006-71.exe file and emptied my recycle bin.
I ran a McAfee scan with no results.
I read previous Yahoo Answers advice.

I restarted my computer in Safe Mode with Networking and did a System Restore back one day on the calendar. I went to bed.
Today, I restarted my computer again in Safe Mode with Networking and downloaded the free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and ran it. It came up with 1 Registry Key infection - Rogue.WinAntiVirus, and 2 Registry Data infections - Disabled.Security. I deleted these after found by Malwarebytes.
In Safe Mode with Networking my McAfee was disabled. I rebooted normally, restored McAfee and ran it as well with no problems detected.

How do I know if I’ve gotten rid of all the bad stuff?
