I have a car. and the remote button will not unlock the car unless i am about 2 yards from it. Would i have to replace the batteries in the remote? or would i have to get a new alarm system?
In any case, how would would it cost for anther alarm system.
I just want to be able to lock my car. No need for the blaring sound.
Thanks in advance.
Our fire alarm keeps going off at random times ever since we moved into our home(6 years ago). It’ll go off only at night when we are sleeping:/ The alarm goes off about 0-3 times a month. We change the batteries regularly. No one smokes in our house. Does anyone know why it keeps going off?
I am flying out Wednesday and was wondering if airport security equipment will damage any of my digital camera equipment (batteries, memory card)?
I moved into a new home in May of 2004 and at that time, it had brand new carbon monoxide alarms. It is a two story home. The alarm downstairs started to beep approximately every 45 seconds about 8 months so we installed new batteries, however it still beeped (please note our only gas appliance is our hot water heater in the garage). This problem continued so… I removed the battery until I could figure out what the problem was. Now the other alarm has started to beep and I just want to know for peace of mind, if there is a time frame as to when to replace the alarms.
Thanks for your continued help. I love Yahoo Answers!
Hi, I have a Friedland solar alarm with various passives, micro switches etc, worked fine until a few days ago when the alarm went off / sounded in the middle of the day, system not activated. Clicked the remote and it stopped, Did this 3 times in total over half an hour. It’s done the same again today. So I have checked the 2 batteries in the alarm, 1 is a Duracell 9v (PP9P) reading 7.5 volts. The rechargeable battery is a Mcnair RB-FM-6 volt dry cell type reading 6.2 volts. Readings taken with Meter Iso -Tech IDM98 regularly calibrated, so I am assuming these voltage readings from this meter are correct. The alarm has been is use about 4 years with never any problems. So has any one any ideas as to what he problem is? Is it the 9v or 6 volt battery or some thing else.
Thanks, Andy Pandy.
i dont even know if this exists but if it does can you give me details on how much it will cost where can i buy it and i live in the uk.
a camera wall mounted and the footage that is being caught on the camera is being transferd to a handheld device which you can watch the feed from your camera as it plays at that exact moment without needing to change batteries or charge it.
and mabey a sensor thing connected to your walls infront of your front door so when someone enters your house the sensor things turns on and it alerts you on your handheld camera.
i have a video camera but i have to charge that every couple hours and i go away a lot for a week or so
Well, I have a pioneer car alarm system, (since the old working remote control was PIONEER), anyways, the remote is gone. This car came with a spare remote, but with a generic brand. I just bought new batteries to the remote since the last one was dead, it powers up, I see the LED, but no response with the car. Also, I have no idea what kind of remote this is, the only words on the remote is Wire Free.
Heres a screenshot.

Also, there are no switches on the board, so I’m guessing I have to use the buttons to program.
…record from 50 ft. away.
I need to be able to record a neighbor trespassing and scattering rubbish on my property, but I live over 1/4 mile from their house. AC power is available at a light pole I have but batteries would work also. Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks.
Ok, In my other house that I previously lived in, we had some fire alarms that didn’t seem to work properly. Of course, every time something let out a bunch of smoke they went off and stopped when they were supposed to. But, other days, it would be a normal day, and no one would have cooked anything that day or night, but they go off anyway and stop whenever they want, because they don’t have off buttons. We changed the batteries multiple times, but that didn’t seem to help. So, my father removed the batteries from all the fire alarms so they would stop beeping randomly. This, of course, made it so whenever something caused a lot of smoke they wouldn’t go off. But, like before, they went off whenever they chose. This happened for a little while longer, up to where we were going insane from the fire alarms. So my father went around the house one last time and unhooked all the wires that connected the alarms. This led them to stop for a little while, then we started hearing something. It sounded slightly familiar so we drew our attention to it, and alas, they were beeping, not as loud or long, it was more of light, short beeps. If you’re familiar with music terms, it was more staccato than normal beeps from a fire alarm. This has bugged me as to why they did that. Was the wiring strange and we just didn’t unplug it all the way? This has never happened in our new home or anywhere else we have visited, has this ever happened to you?
I was sitting on the computer looking at some stuffs when all of a sudden the burgular alarm went off and it told me it was my front bedroom window so I immediately called 911 and notified the police about the situation. This is not the first time this has happened because the same thing has happened last week. But when they brought in the K-9 dogs to sniff around the places i said i saw the burglars ran they said they founded no trace of people at all. The Lieutenant officer then said he thinks it’s something wrong with the burglar alarms system and requested me to tested it. How come they think it’s a alarm malfunction when i saw someone ?? Do you they think I’m playing false alarm games ?? I was home alone when that happened and i feel like no one believes me of what i saw. It has happened multiple times this past few weeks and I don’t know what is going on right now.
What could I do to make them believe me there was people trying to break in ??? My stupid digital camera ran out of batteries when I tried to take pictures of the burglars on the outside of my house.

I have a factory installed alarm went to the store today and my remote wouldn’t work to lock it so i manually locked it on the door. Came out and used the key to unlock it and the alarm went off I put the key in the ignition and it is still going off.. so i went in the store and bought new batteries that didn’t work so went home to get the other remote and that still didn’t work also I used the valet key nothing so my van is still in the Target parking lot. Does anyone know what the problem could be or what to try to fix this. By the way yes I did put new batteries in the 2nd remote also. Another thing when I start the car with the alarm going off it starts for a second and then kills itself for safety reasons im sure. I also tried to use the locks on the door and the same thing keeps happening the alarm won’t turn off.PLEASE HELP ANYTHING YOU CAN SUGGEST WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

I live in my own home. I have 7 smoke alarms; 5 upstairs and 2 downstairs. Yesterday, they all went off at the same time … no smoke; no fire. I shut them off at the breaker box. The smoke alarms are wired into the house, but each has one 9 volt battery in it. I replaced all the batteries, but that did not solve the problem. Any suggestions?
I have tried pushing the test button on each and that did not work.
All were unplugged when installing the new batteries.
my girlfriend and i broke up. when she left she left her truck parked on the side of my house and left her keys cause her truck was not registered, she didnt tell me she left her keys. she put them in my truck so i can see them.that kinda pissed me off cause i didnt want to be responsible. i had to leave town for work, she had come by afew time to get her keys but i was not at home. i sent her an IM and telled her her keys were in her truck under neath the seat. ok i was a little hurt about the way she went about the break up. i dont want to go into the details, but i was upset.anyway before i put her keys in the truck i took the batteries out of the alarm remote and replaced them with bad ones. so when she open the door the alarm would sound off and when she tried to turn the alarm off she would not be able to. now was that kool to do or was i an ass?
Long story short I was off from work the weekend sick with the stomach flu so I didnt drive my 2000 jetta for two days. That monday Before work I went to start my car and it wouldnt start. I realized like an idiot I left my lights on and my battery died.
I had someone jump my car, ran it for a bit and it now starts fine. MY lock button on the inside of my car was even working. Then this morning when I was on my way to work again I noticed that my alarm key/ remote wasnt working to unlock my car. So I drove it to work and bought new batteries assuming they were running dead.
Well my car auto locks and when it did it turned my alarm on. I went to use the remote with the new batteries and it didnt work. I have to manually unlock my door but when I do that or even start my car my alarm goes off for 10 minutes. I had to drive home with the alarm going off.
Also the lock button or the trunk button on the inside of my car stopped working as well.
Very frustrating. I cant get the alarm off. What do I do? I bought the car second hand a few years back.
i have a 90 honda accord and got a car alarm system with a remote and it worked perfect. but the batteries died so then replaced them. but now it does not work on the alarm. so how can i synch it to my vehicle!!!
i hope someone knows and can possibly help!!! thanks so much
We are all getting headaches and I didnt think of something in the home until my youngest one started complaining last week. We have several combo fire/carbon monoxide detectors in the house. I have replaced all batteries to be sure they are working properly. The alarm is not going off (other then when i put the batteries in and also when i test it) so i am assuming its not carbon monoxide. We live in a duplex and have one family attached to us. What else can I check and how? Thanks!
Anyone out there know about car alarms, I can’t start the car without it , and I have no idea how to disable it, the motherboard is in tact, I just don’t have the front cover because the dog chewed it, and I can’t put the batteries in, because I don’t know how they go, the car is a 1995 chevy lumina and I think it is the factory alarm
