I was sitting on the computer looking at some stuffs when all of a sudden the burgular alarm went off and it told me it was my front bedroom window so I immediately called 911 and notified the police about the situation. This is not the first time this has happened because the same thing has happened last week. But when they brought in the K-9 dogs to sniff around the places i said i saw the burglars ran they said they founded no trace of people at all. The Lieutenant officer then said he thinks it’s something wrong with the burglar alarms system and requested me to tested it. How come they think it’s a alarm malfunction when i saw someone ?? Do you they think I’m playing false alarm games ?? I was home alone when that happened and i feel like no one believes me of what i saw. It has happened multiple times this past few weeks and I don’t know what is going on right now.
What could I do to make them believe me there was people trying to break in ??? My stupid digital camera ran out of batteries when I tried to take pictures of the burglars on the outside of my house.

I need batteries for home alarm security systems. part # LYNXRCHKIT-SC or LYNXRCHKIT-HC

I have a factory installed alarm went to the store today and my remote wouldn’t work to lock it so i manually locked it on the door. Came out and used the key to unlock it and the alarm went off I put the key in the ignition and it is still going off.. so i went in the store and bought new batteries that didn’t work so went home to get the other remote and that still didn’t work also I used the valet key nothing so my van is still in the Target parking lot. Does anyone know what the problem could be or what to try to fix this. By the way yes I did put new batteries in the 2nd remote also. Another thing when I start the car with the alarm going off it starts for a second and then kills itself for safety reasons im sure. I also tried to use the locks on the door and the same thing keeps happening the alarm won’t turn off.PLEASE HELP ANYTHING YOU CAN SUGGEST WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
No I haven’t figured It out yet :( but that is one thing i’m gonna try tomorrow…anything else out there please….

Ok I tried to unhook the battery and that didn’t work anything else out there to try???

It had the right time zone before I changed batteries, now I can’t remember how to reset it.

I live in my own home. I have 7 smoke alarms; 5 upstairs and 2 downstairs. Yesterday, they all went off at the same time … no smoke; no fire. I shut them off at the breaker box. The smoke alarms are wired into the house, but each has one 9 volt battery in it. I replaced all the batteries, but that did not solve the problem. Any suggestions?
I have tried pushing the test button on each and that did not work.
All were unplugged when installing the new batteries.

my girlfriend and i broke up. when she left she left her truck parked on the side of my house and left her keys cause her truck was not registered, she didnt tell me she left her keys. she put them in my truck so i can see them.that kinda pissed me off cause i didnt want to be responsible. i had to leave town for work, she had come by afew time to get her keys but i was not at home. i sent her an IM and telled her her keys were in her truck under neath the seat. ok i was a little hurt about the way she went about the break up. i dont want to go into the details, but i was upset.anyway before i put her keys in the truck i took the batteries out of the alarm remote and replaced them with bad ones. so when she open the door the alarm would sound off and when she tried to turn the alarm off she would not be able to. now was that kool to do or was i an ass?

Long story short I was off from work the weekend sick with the stomach flu so I didnt drive my 2000 jetta for two days. That monday Before work I went to start my car and it wouldnt start. I realized like an idiot I left my lights on and my battery died.

I had someone jump my car, ran it for a bit and it now starts fine. MY lock button on the inside of my car was even working. Then this morning when I was on my way to work again I noticed that my alarm key/ remote wasnt working to unlock my car. So I drove it to work and bought new batteries assuming they were running dead.

Well my car auto locks and when it did it turned my alarm on. I went to use the remote with the new batteries and it didnt work. I have to manually unlock my door but when I do that or even start my car my alarm goes off for 10 minutes. I had to drive home with the alarm going off.

Also the lock button or the trunk button on the inside of my car stopped working as well.

Very frustrating. I cant get the alarm off. What do I do? I bought the car second hand a few years back.

i have a 90 honda accord and got a car alarm system with a remote and it worked perfect. but the batteries died so then replaced them. but now it does not work on the alarm. so how can i synch it to my vehicle!!!
i hope someone knows and can possibly help!!! thanks so much

We are all getting headaches and I didnt think of something in the home until my youngest one started complaining last week. We have several combo fire/carbon monoxide detectors in the house. I have replaced all batteries to be sure they are working properly. The alarm is not going off (other then when i put the batteries in and also when i test it) so i am assuming its not carbon monoxide. We live in a duplex and have one family attached to us. What else can I check and how? Thanks!

Anyone out there know about car alarms, I can’t start the car without it , and I have no idea how to disable it, the motherboard is in tact, I just don’t have the front cover because the dog chewed it, and I can’t put the batteries in, because I don’t know how they go, the car is a 1995 chevy lumina and I think it is the factory alarm

My cd player/radio/alarm clock thinger has the option of being plugged in or you can use those big battery things. If i unplug it the clock turns of and it is a pain in the butt to reset it every time I use it, and pretty much pointless seing as i need the correct time on it in order to wake up in time. If i put batteries in it and then unplug it and leave it like that till i get home or whatever then plug it in and take out the batteries would that save any electricity? Im not sure if it would make any diference but I know I probably shouldnt have it plugged in all the time becuase its unnecessary. Also is it wasting a lot of extra electricity becuase its super old? I dont know if they get less energy efficient as the time goes by. its probably about six or seven years. (should i just get a new one? the radio and cd part hardly work anymore anyways….)

A pamphlet from my local Apocolyptic Event Repsonse Team tells me that "Homeland Security Starts at Home". It told me to stock up on batteries, non-parishable foods, flashlights and numerous behind the counter cold medicines that I’m sure stocking up on will place me on a DEA watchlist. In addition it told me all about bio, chemcial and raidological terrorism and how to react.

So how have you Homeland Secured you home?

I’ve got a good mix of allready parished and non-parishable food, a drawer full of miscelaneous batteries, a few flashlights (one which I can locate) and some herbal teas.

a few days ago i locked my car with my remote and a few hrs later, i came back and i tried to turn off my alarm or unlock the car with my remote and it did not work. the remote had new batteries and i already synchronized it. the car had battery because the alarm was going off too. i cant drive the car w/o turning off the alarm so i just unplugged the fuse for the alarm. This is a manufacture alarm, so i do not know. does anyone know the problem, or know how to fix it

It wouldn't be so bad because it's in my step-mom's room and that door stays closed anyway. BUT… it's tripping off all the alarms in the house. This happened yesterday and my dad didn't have time to fix it. He's not very good about this sort of thing (taking care of something that needs to be fixed). On top of that… it's 9:00 am, he won't be home until 5:00 or later… If i wave a broom in front of it, it'll turn off… but turn back on 30 sec later. I can't spend my whole day under a frickin fire alarm!! Anything I can do in the meantime???
I changed the battery when this happened yesterday…. what's funny is we didn't have any extra and when I was first trying figure out which alarm was setting off the rest, i took a battery out of one…. later on i put that one in the one causing the rest to go off and it did stay off for an hour. Then it started back up.
Oh… and the batteries are back up anyway, they're wired straight to the electricity here. I wanted to cut it's wire… but the ceiling is so high up, i was at the top of the ladder and I could just barely change the battery without falling.

Mine was to turn off the water, gas and electricity with the fridge full of food while gone for two weeks. I knwo, I also turn off the alarm system running only with batteries, the AC should keep the moist off and the window light with the timer to turn on and off during the night was also not working.

I hate to learn by experience but I guess is the most effective way to learn a lesson.

first the automatic start went out. then about a year later the car alarm stopped working. how would i go about fixing this? what could be wrong?
it's a 96 thunderbird. have not changed batteries.

We have a neighbor that lives behind us that has had their smoke detectors going off for the last 3 years. I have all but tuned it out, but when I am in my backyard it is annoying to here the repetitive beeping (almost like chinease water torture)

What is interesting about this is that there are always renters living there. When the last residents occupied the place I stopped by and told them that the noise was bothering me. They were nice enough to change the batteries but within days the same problem happened again and the beeping resumed. (There are about 3-4 detectors beeping)

I can only guess that something with their wiring is faulty. Being that I have already made the residents aware of the problem and that is annoying neigbors, what sort of legal recourse can I take?

I would like to find out who the owner is and them mail them a certified letter. Possibly CC this to the city or firedepartment.

Does anyone know the best way to handle this?
Washington State

we’ve changed the batteries a million times, its fairly new (2 years), and it still goes off constantly at random times. sometimes at night.
it turns on for a about 4 minutes everytime.
