My neighborhood recently been having lot of car and home burglaries, I’m thinking of getting a alarm system for my house but can’t decide on what’s the best alarm system or company to get, I’m deciding on either Brinks, ADT or Smith security, I’ve never heard of Smith but its alot more affordable but I don’t know if its as good, please help, I have a young child at home and scared living without an alarm system!

Most of us now relied on our cell phone more than the house phone like old days. Eventually the house phone just sit at home to collect dust. Basically I do not wish to wasted a month on something I will no longer use. In fact, I do want to install a home security system that doesn’t required traditional phone line. Yet still be able to monitor the house 24/7 at their headquarter. Will notify the police, fire dep, or ambulance.
Beside ADT or Brinks. Are there any Wireless Home security system out there is trustworthy? I saw uControl online but never heard or know anyone use it before.

So please if anyone out there could help .. let me know!

Our neighborhood in Kansas City, MO is normally a safe neighborhood, but some reason burglaries have been on a peak these past two months, with 4 of my close neighbors being robbed, and one of them I witnessed. I need to get a Security system, but places like ADT and Brinks require 3 years contracts, which in the end turn into ALOT of money! Is there any local sercurity company that you recommend, or have had experiences with?? Which company have you found to be the most affordable. Thanks-

ADT, Brinks or Slomin’s Shield?

I moved into a home that has a Brinks keypad. We do not have the service. How can I get the chime to turn on so I know when the door opens?

Is there a website that has a list of the Cheapest Home security installation and monitoring systems?
I am looking for a company that installs a wireless alarm system and monitors for around .95 a month like Bulldog.
I am located in Arizona and every site I go to is rigged for ADT, Brinks or Broadview.
I am specifically looking for a company that will install and monitor under /month.

We just bought our first home. It was previously occupied by tenants. So far, we haven’t done anything to secure it because it was being termited. We are not sure what needs to be done beyond changing the locks. The front and back doors/screen doors are not security doors. Should we get those changed? How much does a new door cost? Also, should we get a security system like Brinks? Or just get window alarms?

Can you post a Brinks or some other home security sign in front of your house without using their services? I don’t care if you think it will deter someone or not but whether it is legal or not. Would the company be able to control whether or not I am able to use their sign since it is on private property and I have no agreement one way or the other with them?

We are moving into a home that already had Brinks installed but we have never used a home security service before and aren’t sure how these services work.
Do we have to activate with Brinks only or switch companies AND use the Brinks keypads/equipment or would a new company have to come in and replace the equipment entirely?
Or should we just stick with Brinks?

What is the best Wireless Home Security Monitoring System w/ siren… one that would monitor all windows & doors including Garage. I’ve seen ads for ADT, Brinks, GE. Looking for the best system, and ease of installation. (Not sure an installer is necessary or if do it yourselves are just as good.)

I have a problem with Brinks and ADT. . . I cannot get a security system due to my credit. They require a person to pass a credit check in order to receive one. Is there any legal action i can take to get a security system? I think a family with a child needs a security system, but we can’t get one cuz of our credit. It’s the most stupidest thing i’ve ever heard in my life.

I am looking for home alarm systems and want to get information on Brinks or something similar. Does anyone have experience with these type of companies, and words of advice before buying such as a "beware" that I should not fall for when they come to talk to me?
