help protect you while at home? Two ways are:
Keep your keys by you when you go to bed. If you hear an intruder simply press the alarm button for your car. The alarm can usually be triggered from anywhere in the house and will continue until you turn it off or the car battery runs down. This type of noise is undesirable by an intruder so chances are good they will leave to avoid detection. Also eventually one of your nosy neighbors (we all have them) will come to see what all the ruckus is about.
The same protection can be gotten during the day if you fall or otherwise need to attract attention to yourself. A continuous car alarm is very annoying. Someone will eventually come to find out why it has not been turned off.
I read that in a email today and wondered if anyone else had heard of this.
I have a 2006 Honda Accord. For some reason the alarm would just go off and I won’t be able to shut it off. I would actually have to disconnect the car battery to get it to stop. Any ideas on a solution or how to disable the alarm all together? Thanks,
Ok so im trying to figure out how to run this camera its 1200 feet so i have a Wireless Camera and a Wired Security Camera and a VCR and i thought about running it off of a car battery with a DC AC converter the wired and Wireless camera dont use much power both use 12 volts but how long would the battery last running the VCR and the camera from the 12 battery
had the car battery checked, everything is ok. I noticed that when i don’t use the car for more than a day, i could not open the car without using the key, which naturally brings on the ear-splitting alarm. i can’t find any button to disable it. After about 5x of trying, the remote and car alarm will respond. what seems to be the problem. Please help, tnx tnx.

I’m trying to install a new car battery into my Honda Accord, but the alarm is going off. I don’t have the alarm on/off control. I would like to disable the alarm. It was installed at the dealership when I bought it new back in 2001, and I’ve lost the paper work or manual that came with it. Can anyone tell me how to disable the alarm on this car?
whats going on? i dont want to wake up my neighbors but i need my car in an hour. ps my car battery is completely dead.. no lights work in my car at all not even dimly. i was gonna charge my car battery and take my car to auto zone to see if i need a new battery cuz i think i might.. this ones getting old
I accidentally left the key inside and locked the door. After AAA road service opened the door, the alarm went off. Have to disconnect the battery to temporary stop that noise. I replaced the battery in the remote control, connected the car battery, alarm went off again. The remote control does not shut it off. What I can do at home to permanently disconnect the alarm as I think the alarm is useless at this stage and the car is old. Thank you in advance.
I am talking of course of electronic bugs that transmit audio surveillance. What do they look like typically? How can you find them if they are placed in something you own or where you live? If someone's car is bugged where would you look to see where the bug is located? Would the bug be connected to the car battery or would it be independent of any wiring from the car's electronic interface itself? Without expensive equipment how would I find these devices?
If not … here is one you probably already have.
PUT YOUR CAR KEYS BESIDE YOUR BED AT NIGHT
If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car, most cars have them these days. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies. It will also alert your neighbors that something is wrong, when you do not turn it off.
It's a security alarm system that requires no installation. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage. Try it.
Remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot.
Whoa! From the respones …. do ALL of you live in Texas? lol We folks from California don't have pistols, shot guns, and BIG dogs living in our house! lol
Great responses! Ya'll
hehe
Oh! I forgot …. we do have "gang-bangers" in Califorina ….. but not in our gated Senior community! I hope! lol
LOL ….. I stand corrected! *Warning* stay away from Nana T's in California!
Living in the country … I do not blame you for having guns and dogs! Heck! Living in Los Angeles is reason enough!
I have a 1996 Volvo 960 and the car alarm will go off (horn chirps, parking lights flash, LED light on dash blinks rapidly) at random and stay on. It has caused my car battery to die numerous times. How can I permanently disable or uninstall it? Thanks!
