hi, i was wondering if i could set up my cell phones camera to my computer some how so it could stream video to my computer. like how it would on a cell phone before you take a picture or something and its streaming the images it sees. if there’s some way i can do this or someone has a guide or something or a good website please tell me.
I make a lot of money from gambling on football in bookmakers in the UK and due to this I am often restricted to the amount I can put on at any one time - which is well within the bookmakers rights to do so. However, I recently found out that the largest bookmaker chain in the UK (Ladbrokes) has been sending CCTV images of me along with my full name to all its branches to advise their workers not to accept large bets from me.
Is this allowed under the Data Protection Act? As the signs in the shops regarding the CCTV cameras state they are there to prevent crime and for general safety, are they not breaking this act and misusing the cameras to meet their own ends? I am not in anyway breaking any law by gambling in the shops and feel my name has been tarnished due to this.
Thanks in Advance
After having installed zone alarm I’ve had trouble viewing certain images (funny thing is not all images on the site are non-viewable) could someone help me out with having to disable zone alarm (as I downloaded it because I was having major problems with trojans)
I don’t know what else it could be. (it’s on manual right now I’m pretty sure)
and I have AVG –AVG is an anti-virus, it clears the stuff up after it’s already on my computer, I had it keep popping up telling me that it found a trojan so I downloaded ZA to prevent them from even getting in.
take google earth as an example. it provides images of places all over the globe. what if world government organisations proposed to take it one more level and constantly monitor the world 24/7 by video surveillance?
i guess everyone would benefit with less crime but then again..you may interpret crime as something that makes the world go round and 24/7 video surveillance might change our entire structure on various scales.
other not so beneficial factors also need to be considered..invasion of privacy being the basis.
dont respond with answers like "it will never happen because it costs way too much money to fund" .. this is hypothetical
I obviously know about standard exif metadata like camera model, date and time taken, ect viewed in the image’s properties…I was just thinking about how every piece of paper has infrared dots that trace its printer and I know dvds have a similar hidden bug method…
I was just wondering if there was some stenography going on with images that contain maybe a single serial number that national security folks use to trace the exact camera used.
Our gated community needs a surveillance camera. Our gate was hit and broken two times, but we have been unable to determine who did it (probably am impatient driver). If we had a camera that could capture video for 24-48 hours (and then recycle), we could determine who is responsible for future incidents. Since there is only one entrance to the community (besides climbing over fences), this would also be a deterrent to criminals entering the community. There is a light pole with electricity near the entrance to the community, so power and view plane issues are not a problem. We just need to be sure the resolution of the images is sufficient to capture faily good images (license plate numbers, etc). This is Altanta, so severe weather is also not an issue. Finally, we are a small gated community, so we cannot afford very expensive options. Reliable, inexpensive solutions are preferred over high cost, high-tech solutions.
Would like one that has audio, color, can pick up images at night and perhaps wireless-Need to mount on garage to view drive way.
Thanks for help
I’m looking for a way to get webcams or the like and use them for home security purposes.
I figure that I could get a computer that has several usb ports or equivalent and it would be dedicated just for that purpose. I would use a broadband connection to stream images off-site (not all the time), have a UPS (10-15 minute duration). I’m thinking of 4-6 cameras being managed by 1 software package.
I’d like the cameras mid-range - a ccd or low light camera probably isn’t needed, unless that would be the preferred tool for the job.
So basically, I’m looking for the computer, software, cameras and UPS. I don’t need comments on home networking or bandwidth. Computer size isn’t an issue, it will be tucked out of the way and not moved (racked, probably). Operating system isn’t all that important (unix would be preferred but not necessary) The cameras can be either fixed or movable - I haven’t really figured out how I want to lay them out yet.
Suggestions?
I have X600 . i applied security code on images and sounds but……….i forgot that code…. how can i reset my password without using any data cable ??? i mean any factory setting code or thing like that. …Thanxxx
Please answer only if you are knowledgeable in this area and have credible information to contribute.
My neighborhood association has security cameras around the gated pool area, which members must use access cards to enter. We have a problem with kids jumping the gate to gain access, many times vandalizing the facilities. They're most likely neighborhood kids but for whatever reason, don't have an access card. Either way, they shouldn't be jumping the gate.
I have images of them caught in the act. But we're not really sure who they are. Would posting their photos on a bulletin board in the facilities be legal? What about posting on the password-protected neighborhood association website? Or sending out in our regular newsletter?
We're just thinking that getting the info out and getting the neighborhood involved in holding these people responsible is the right thing to do. But does the law work against us here?
I want to set up an outdoor video surveillance and need to know what I need.
1. Need a wireless, solar camera because it will be installed 500 ft from my house. Do they have these?
2. Need an Internet camera that broadcasts on the Internet and saves the images so I can view it while working on the computer.
3. Night vision because there are no street lights here.
Please tell me which online stores have them and step by step instructions if possible.

I was at some beach, I started by dipping my feet in the ocean. The water was shallow. There was a woman and a child (girl).
I asked the girl, "Will we not get attacked by sharks here?" she replied, "Not in this shallow water, and even in deeper water, if you…[I forgot what she said]"
The three of us were lying in the water, when a strange creature that looked like an eel came swimming from the lefthandside and I got a bit alarmed.
Then two small spiders started crawling across my eyes, but I couldn't feel anything, I could only see them crawling over my eyes. I didn't know what to do, and then I just started masturbating on the spot, and was visualizing my own genitals and feeling how wet I was (in my dream) when the doorbell rang and woke me up…
What does this dream mean?
Actually, I don't watch TV, and I haven't been to the movies lately either…nor have I read books about the ocean or otherwise been stimulated by images or thoughts of it…
We have some bored kids in our neighborhood who are driving through yards, spray painting fences and throwing out their beer bottles and drug paraphernalia on the street (broken glass everywhere). No one has caught them because it happens in the wee hours of the morning. We'd like to mount some sort of surveillance on our house facing the street. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive way to go about this? Maybe something that shoots images back to our computer periodically?
