I recently put a deposit on a home that I wanted to rent, but then I became ill and could not move. I talked to the owner prior to my move in date and explain the reason. However, the owner refuses to refund my deposit and came up with all kinds of excuses that was never disclosed to me prior to this. We never entered into a written lease agreement, or had a security deposit signed by either of us throughout this whole ordeal. The only proof I have is a copy of my cashier’s check. Can the owner keep my money? What are my options?

Okay so i wish it was as easy as it sounds but the installer/uninstaller happens to have been deleted thanks to a little sibling. Now how would i delete this program from my computer without the uninstaller? This program is very annoying when it’s missing files, it reminds me ever 1 minute which gets in the way of my working. If anyone can help me without me having to spend more money on reinstalling the programs than that would be appreciated!

I got my self as a named driver on my dads insurance policy,and then phoned them up to confirm payments, but the representitive worked out i was not my dad phoning in. when i told her that i was his son and just wnted to make sure weather,they recieved the money or not, she went and canceled the policy saying i had broken the data protection act. she told me they would’nt charge me anything but my dad would have to tell other insurance companies that he had been refused insurance, i just want to know that will this make a difference to my dad’s future insurance quotes?

I was given a computer by a girl I was dating a while back. She offered because it was sitting in her storage unit, and she leaves for the army soon, and wont be using it. We go to her storage unit and we load it up in my car (I can get video surveillance that proves that from the storage co.), and I spend some money on it for Vista OS and some other hardware. I even gave my old computer to another friend. About 4 days later she says she wants it back so she can sell it. If I give it back to her, I lose out on about 0 I spent on it, and im out a computer. So I said no, and she claimed she just wanted me to hold on to it, and that I misunderstood. (why would she pay for a storage unit every month, only to have me hold on to her computer. she even gave me password so i can get on it).A few weeks after all this non sense, she tells me she has papers for a small claims court date on july 11th. what can i do to protect myself?

i got a letter from immigration, they want more information that me and my wife are married for real, they sent the I-797E letter, if i send proof that we own a car together, she is on my health insurance, and she has used it before, and we have filed are taxes together. will this be anuff information ? i own the house we live in myself, she does not pay anything, i owned it long before we got married, we talked about this before we got married she was ok with it, i no american couples that have the same arrange meant and they are aloud to be married ? i pay all the bills ? i pay for everything. we have separate bank accounts, my wife keeps all the money she makes and can do what she want with it i don’t ask her for a dime, i don’t want to have any credit card together, besides that its to late now, because they are looking for the past 2 years record. i didn’t think are marriage would ever become a issue or i would have done a better job keeping records, we have jumped through all the hoops, and this is how we are treated, my wife is so happy with are arrange ments and so am i. she can make her own money and help her family out, i think its a great arrangement, i don’t think its right how we are being treated, i don’t even feel like a american myself, i have given the immigration people everything that they have asked for and this is how they treat me and my wife, i have a full time job and then some and am tired allot, and now i have to track down all these records its making me sick, and now i might have to hire a layer, me and my wife are happy with the way we are living, and now we are trying to start a family, and i have doctor records of that will this help to prove that we are really married ? enough is enough i no i am a simple man i have never been to collage, but i work hard and try to be a good person and do the right thing, i think i have provided plenty of information and have been very submissive to the immigration people i will send this other information, but if it is not enough what can i do, can i strike back if i hire a layer i want to be able to sue them and at least get my money back for what i pay the layer and lost wages etc… think about it if the immigration department would spend more time sending illegals back to there country and less time harassing working people like me and others it would be allot better, look at the mexicans that come across the border and take jobs illegal, and the ones that come across the border and deal drugs, why don’t they do some thing about them, instead of stressing me out and making me feel sick, if i hire a lawyer i want to make some money, go before a jury of my peers, i think most people would agree we have a problem with illegals, and harassing us citizens that are trying to live a peace full life with there spouses after going through all the hoops is not helping the problem. me and my wife are really married we don’t have credit cards, we live simple lives, maybe if we took out great dept together on a joint credit card with 12 % or greaterinterestt that would be great proof, but idon’tt want to have any more dept than i have now, theimmigrationn people can come live with me any time they want i have a extra bedroom, they will see we do the things married couple do, the big ? is being in great dept together really what being married is ?

would get a trip tp the bahamas for 2 free and they want you to log in to houseold.com.can i get a virus is it the real deal or does it cost me money like do they want to know my debt card number and such.

Acura dealers tell me that they may have to change all the wiring (0 +) and it "MAY or MAY NOT" fix it. Any suggestions???? I can’t even take it shopping as the alarm goes off in Shopping centers and Malls. I have to park the car at home with the door "NOT Completely Closed" so that the car doesn’t turn on the Alarm. It has been a complete inconvenience. Do I need to change some sensor? IF so where is it located?

I provide a service to a company that owes me some money and has been avoiding all contact. I have their VAT number and their trading name but cant seem to find out their Ltd Company name to serve them with a claim. I have tried Trading Standards Institute, Companies House, Inland Revenue, Consumer Direct, Office of fair trading. For some reason data protection act does not allow me this information, but If I was to have the company number I could get all the information from that company down to the last breakfast the directors had.

Any help would be appreciated!

I’m completely fed up with the delinquent behavior of our neighbors. Drunken party guests running through our yard at 1am, kids shooting bbs at the car, throwing rocks and breaking a windshield and the cursing at us and denying everything when confronted. We’ve called the cops, but the officer didn’t do anything.

What are my options when it comes to installing an outdoor security camera. I don’t have a lot of money (windshields cost a lot to replace) and I can’t afford a service. This would be in the Central Florida area.

long story short, I dyed my eyebrows too dark due to a faulty alarm. I need to remove the color to make it a shade or two lighter. I have NO MONEY. not even a few dollars. so this needs to be a home remedy.

I have already washed my eyebrows about 20times and they are sore now, so don’t suggest me washing them a lot. no bleach, I don’t want to have super light eyebrows when the dye washes out eventually.

no, bleach will lighten my base color, my natural color. when my DYE is removed, when it all washes out, my natural color will have been lightened. NO BLEACH.

not to mention I don’t have spare hair bleach sitting around…. what part of NO MONEY is so hard to grasp? I’m not exaggerating. I have {content}.16, so unless you know of a hair dye that costs {content}.16 I can’t buy it. I have not job and won’t have money for a while.

I want to back up my data regularly from my home computer. The files would be zipped and uploaded to an external host by a script (written by me) with FTP.

I know there are pay services which offer such services, but before spending my money I’d like to know if by chance there is a site on the net which offer this for free.

I’m sort-of in a pickle over a choice of free firewalls. Problem is that I really like COMODO, but there is a major conflict with using it with my printer/scanner (Lexmark). It shuts down all communications between my computer and the printer. It is not good enough to just disable it, it must be un-installed. According to the COMODO website, this is a bug that as of yet has NO fix… I do not have the money right now to just run at and buy a different printer/scanner, so, I’m looking around for a different, good FREE firewall program.
Ive heard that PC tools has a pretty good one and then someone suggested Zone Alarm.
Have any of you guys tried these two before, and if so, which firewall would you reccommend? My current configuration is as follows:

Avast! 4.8 Home Edition free
Windows Defender (real-time)
SUPERantisptware (free)
Malwarebytes (free)
ThreatFire
PC tools firewall (free)

If you think this set-up is fine, please let me know.

That way, each person would have a unique number. If someone stole a number, a red flag would go up showing that Mr. Jones in Texas is also working in New York. All they would have to do is to see which Mr. Jones data is the newest and target that guy and remove him from the system. Heck, if the fake Mr. Jones wanted to be the real Mr. Jones then maybe a law should be passed so that the fake Mr. Jones is now responsible for all of Mr. Jones debt for the rest of his life (just place a tattoo on his forehead so that everyone can see that he’s a Mr. Jones wannabe and put a lien an any money he makes ever).

Also, we would never need to do a Census because the Social Security Administration would have all the data they need. (Yes, I know it’s a law…I’m talking about a change in the law that would get rid of the Census in place of this).

Sooooo….this would solve ID theft and would allow the Government to count actual citizens instead of including illegal aliens. I know this might have a hole or two that I haven’t thought about…but if those are fixed…then why not do this?
Oh, I know someone is going to say, "A LOT of people don’t have Social Security cards". What I’m talking about here would be a system that would enforce that every citizen of the United States would have a SSN. Actually I don’t know why we don’t do that now.
Jaime - Yes everyone has their own number…what I’m talking about is tracking that number. If you are using your number in New York for your job and for credit and such and I steal your number and use your name and number in Florida…it should set off a red flag showing that there are two of you using the same name and number…see? If someone steals my bank info…my bank calls me if someone from some other city uses it…the see my name and number…but they know I’m not using my account…Social Security should work the same way.

Okay so I accidently left my diaper bag in the parking lot at Walmart and it had my wallet in it. After I realized, I went back, looked around and came home and reported my debit/credit card stolen. An hour later walmart called and said someone returned the diaper bag. My wallet was in there but my money and gift cards were gone. I think it was the lady my bro gave a dollar to because she was there when we left but claimed she didnt see the diaper bag and she was acting suspicious. I called the bank and they said after I cancelled the card, someone trired to use it at a gas station. So they should have her on tape there and probably she was the one to turn it in at walmart. My card was in the wallet. I think she figured she couldnt use it so return it.
So how long will walmart and a gas station keep the videos? Also, how do I report this? I went to the police station but it was after hours. Please someone who knows help me.

Anyways, it started about a week ago, and I’ve had the car for roughly 6 months now (the Ungo system as already installed by the previous owner). I doubt it matters what type of car it is, but just in case, it’s a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant DE. Anyways. Supposedly the car alarm has been prematurely activating when I’m not around (my sister has been home when it goes off, and she says that nobody is even around the car), and has happened around 3-4 times the past two days alone. It’s happened once or twice before this. Now, the car is making a noise kind of like the ones made when the car is turned off, as well as a soft-ish clicking noise.

I don’t have any money, as I don’t have a job due to the economy being so horrible (oh, it’s killing me), and just so happens that everything else is going wrong now that I’m unemployed, heh. But as I don’t have any money, and I didn’t personally get the system installed, I don’t think that Ungo would fix this problem for free, especially when the system worked fine for 6+ months. Any ideas that I might be able to do myself? Otherwise, do you think I would be able to go to my usual mechanic to have him fix it, or does it need to be an Ungo technician (nearest one to me is roughly 2 hours away ><)

Well my subscription to Norton 360 just ended and my parents don’t have the money to put it on a computer, let alone 4. As much as I don’t want to ask this…. What are (is?) some "quality" security software that I can download for free? I never liked the idea of a free security system but I’m running on nothing right now.

Side note: I am afraid that whatever is out there will delete Norton altogether and I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. If (whatever) does delete Norton in order to work, can I just go out, buy Norton again (or something better) and have it replace the free software or will I need to keep Norton to get a new subscription?

It said that I have to have 30 000 euros in case i need medical assistance and/or money to go home. It is a ridiculous number, does anyone know what the procedure is? Please help!
