My Microsoft Office Word 2007 keeps crashing, How do I fix it?

Restarting, Crashing, Failing, etc. MS Word just stopped working for me altogether after 9/3/09.
I went into event viewer to check out the issue and found these notifications:

PLEASE HELP!!

A folder sudenly pops up in my documents marked “My Data Sources”. A shortcut for this pops up on my desktop.

The unrequested folder icon marked "my data sources" pops up in My Documents File. At the same time the same shortcut icon pops up on my desk top. When I open it, my Excel sheet on MS Word 2007 appears with a Microsoft security warning. It tells me data connections have been blocked and if I choose to enable data connections, my computer may no longer be secure. It states "do not enable the content unless I trust the server of this file". Then I am given the choice to enable or disable. What does this all mean, where did it come from, and what should I do with it? Is it safe just to delete it and forget it. Thank you for your explanation.
