I am thinking about storing my videos and music on an external drive. but since I currently use DVD’s I was wondering if USB 2.0 is faster then reading a DVD or should I invest in esata since I know that’s way faster then bot combined (which the cost would agree with).

Windows Defender
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (free edition)

Is this good protection? I download music/movies and surf the web mostly.
I also have Windows Firewall enabled.

I have a Windows Vista desktop btw.

When my alarm gets me up, it doesnt WAKE me up. Not like ice cold water being dumped on you from above. But Im not willing to try that. So……what do you do? What wakes you up? Music? Dancing? Eating? Jumping Jacks or exercise? That ice water thing? Dying to know for ten points!

Which of the 3 options should I select if I am backing up in preparation for a clean install?

Backup everything on this computer,
Backup selected files drives or network data and
Only backup the system state data

My pictures, music and videos are my main concern.

I’m getting my laptop fixed next week, and instead of having to pay to get my stuff backed up, are there any other ways that i can back up my files? Mainly photos(about 600), music(about 1,000 songs) and maybe a few programs. I do own a 1 gb data traveler but it’s not enough to fit all these things.

Is there any good techno/trance/rave music out there that sounds like a car alarm or starts from a car alarm?

Im getting a new laptop in about 3 - 4 days (depending on how much longer the shipping takes). I backed up all my important files, music and data. have backup disks for all my programs. now all my saved websites on firefox, is there a way to save them or back them up simply?

When I log in with my colleagues login password, Cannot open the files on drives E and F(both NTFS) which I encrypted for security. Drives C(Program Files) and D(Drivers, music and pictures) are Fat32, though. How can I access these files? Any Password cracker I can use or data recovery service which can be of help? (Windows XP, 3.0 Ghz HT technology, 160 GB HDD, 512 MB DDR RAM)

My computer all of the sudden 2 weeks ago sort of crashed and I need to restore the system, but before I do I want to attempt to retrieve the data that is still on the computer. Is this something I can do myself and if so how do I do it?I had taken it to get diagnosed at Best Buy and they wanted to charge me 0 to do a data backup and then another 0 for the restore. I have the system disks and can restre it on my own. I just don’t know how to retrieve any data that I have still on the computer before I do so. Things like music and pictures ect. ANy help or should I pay the 0 and then restore it myself?
What is and where do I find the hard-disk?
I do appreciate the suggestion and although I can restore a hard drive or something pretty basic I really dont know what anything is or where it goes so very explicit instruction would be helpful. Also It is an HP opperating off of Vista Home Premium

I just bought a new house and I want to learn how to turn it into a smart home, whereby I can automate my lights and appliances. I also want to have some video surveillance and be able to play music in multiple rooms around the house. Where can I find an online tutorial for something like this?

Whats up guys, I got a problem, I’ve gone through about 17 or 18 jobs now. The problem is I can never keep a job without either confliciting with one of the workers or boss or finding an easy enoughjob that doesn’t make me want to cry before I go in. I know I need a lot of pshychological help but thers no chance of that so i’ve given myself permission to find a situation that works and smoke what works to keep me optimistic. I’ve worked at factories, they’re way to fast paced, I’ve telemarketed, thats too hard, (Stress/sale consistancy), I’ve done data entry for a relatively easy contract it wasn’t 10 key stroke #’s (plus I was allowed to listen to music). I’ve done a lot of things, department stores etc. I’m about to move to Toronto Canada and I want to know, whats something that would leave me be to myself, I could possibly listen to music, doesn’t require a super amount of effort, and I could smoke at? Custodian? Night Security? i don’t have a liscence and a recluse stoner

I have a Western Digital hard drive, and it’s been ticking for a couple of days now, and now it won’t even show up on My Computer. There is a TON of music on it, is there anyway to recover the data from it? I know ex HDDs are supposed to be for backups, but if they go bad, what’s the point! My cousin, and now this, both Western Digitals, went bad. I will never buy a Western Digital product again.

I would like to add music and maybe video to a micro SD card that is for my Blackjack. I have an adapter that allows me to put it in my card reader and the computer reads it but when i try to add data like a single song it says: This disk is write-protected. remove the write-protection or use another disk. how do i fix this?

I need to backup my iTunes for windows library, which has about 977 songs, and I have heard you can back it up with cds, dvds, or data cds/dvds. Which one is the better route for using the minimum amount of discs and also most of my music was purchased from iTunes would that affect the protection of those songs? I know I have made mix cds before though off of my library so they burned onto those fine. If anyone can help that would be great.

Well I lost my phone this sunday in our House because it’s Fiesta in our Subdivision and so we actually have this Celebration. When I tried calling it,it’s ringing then someone will turn it down. After calling it millions of times I guess he/she took of the battery since he/she can’t turn it off properly because I have this security code. And Now I am so DEAD since my parents bought that phone for me not more than a Month!

For the questions….

1) Can You track down your phone if it’s only prepaid?

2) Is it Possible for them to remove the security Code with another Data Cable USB?

3) If you cursed the person to either Get Hit by a Vehicle and get unconscious while holding my phone in his/her hand or to kneel in front me apologizing for what he has done could it come true?

I know these questions are really weird and stiff but the Phone is really expensive it’s eighteen-thousand-four hundred- forty plus Pesos (P18440+)!!!

It must have a feature that does not re-write over backed up data but adds newly added files to the backup instead of doing the whole backup again from scratch.

I don’t mind if the software is free or costly. My music and work documents are important to me and if I was to ever loose them I would be so upset. Which is why i am here asking this question.
