If the home owner is gone, and a neighbor reports the house on fire, what will the fire department do to gain access to a "fortress" type home that has a security gate and highly reinforced fencing around the property?

i’ve been having some problems with home security at the new house i just moved into and please no suggestions on moving the price is amazing and the location and area is great does anyone know where i can buy the following items barbwire, beartraps, if there are legal landmines. a large net, and a tranquelizer gun. possible ghost traps as someone recommended or if anyone knows of one of those poltergiest hunter people im not sure if its a ghost i think just a pesky neighbor anyway heres my case i just moved into the neighborhood i have great neighbors but the past few weeks i’ve noticed unsual things i swear i saw a short bald guy masturbating in my backyard through my living room window then the next day i found a teddy bear stuffed with empty twinkie wrappers and his head ripped off and a poop on my george forman i know this sounds strange i swear im not crazy my neighbors think im on drugs i figured if i take it into my own hands i can get rid of the mortgage on my house.

Do I need to warn the public that my house being video monitored if I wanted to use any actions against my house in court?

No seriously. Someone stole my outgoing mail from my mailbox and a neighbor keeps putting their trash in front of my house and it’s not disposed of properly so I’m going to end up getting fined for it. I need to prove that it’s their trash.

My boyfriend has a 1999 Porsche Carrera. The alarm went off for about twenty minutes the other day; we were not home, and the neighbor told us about it. We do not know if someone tried to break into the car or not. Now the car will not start, and the alarm light (which usually only flashes while the car is locked) is permanently on. Has anyone had a similar problem? Does anybody know how to turn the alarm system off temporarily? Boyfriend was able to start the car once, but it stalled and will not start again. Also, jump-starting did not work. The battery is charged, so that should not be the problem either.
He does not have the Owner’s Manual, so could you explain in a bit more detail about the Block System? We are not sure if someone tried to break into it or not, so are there other possible reasons the Block System could have activated? Is towing it to the dealership the only option he has? I just had an alarm system installed in our home because my husband is deployed. Now, because of issues with my neighbor, I don’t feel what we have is enough. We currently have the motion dector, door contacts on the front door and sliding door, control panel, smoke alarm and key remote…and motion lights outside too. I’m considering getting the Glass Break Detector and having window contacts put on, but honestly, we don’t have a ton of money to put into it right now and have to do it little by little. We have eleven windows on the ground floor, four of which are out of view of the motion detector. There are also two windows upstairs in the master bedroom. I’m wondering if we need both the GBD and the window contacts, or just one or the other. What is more likely to happen if someone breaks in? Will they try to open the window or break it? Seriously, I’m not good with this kind of stuff and I have no idea when I’ll get to talk to my husband again so I don’t know what he wants. What would you get?

Just three days after I buy my car, my neighbors use it as a table. They had cars of their own available, but the girl decided to put it on my car for some reason.

I was wondering what kind/type of alarm would be the best, so next time a neighbor tries to put their crap on it, the car alarm would go off and scare the hell out of whoever is touching my car.

My neighbor’s alarm chirps every 30 seconds or so. It gets set off by anything bigger than a Vespa– Harleys, utility trucks, etc. It’s driving me insane. I asked him if it was broken but he said it’s just senstitive. I want to have another face to face with him and ask him to do something about it. Tips?

My bmw’s horn sometimes go off on its own for a split second while driving. This is very embarassing because people may think I’m honking at them. To make the matter worst I came home last night and the horn went off and couldn’t stop until I stopped the engine. Each time I would turn the key without starting it would go off again. Then I started the car and it stopped. Very annoying b/c a neighbor came to ask me to stop honking… Any idea what it could be?

I have a neighbor that I suspect is vandalizing our property. I need to find an affordable, efficient spy/security camera that can record up to an entire nights worth of tape? I need help in understanding how this would work, and what reliable pieces of equipment to look into on a college students budget.

i have the WORST neighbor. for starters, he uses my pool while im at work. i have and 8 foot fence surrounding my yard. i also notice that he uses a ladder that looks like one i used to have in my shed. i think he stole it and climbs the fence. he uses my hose to water his garden. he also has an extension cord running from my house to his. his wife "grocery shops" in my kitchen. i dont know how they get in my house. i am the only one with a key and change the locks about once a month. i even have and alarm system. i have told him many times that i dont agree with his ways. i have even got the police involved. they wont do anything and dont believe me. ( my neigbors wife sleeps with the police cheif so they can get away with crap). they get away with everything. i cant even get a restraing order!! i am at the end of my wits. i dont want to move because i love my house and other neighbors. by the way, my neighbor is the fattest redneck type you will ever see.!!! Our alarm sounds off every morning at 8:30am. During the day we have the dog and sometimes a family member sit in so we don’t turn it on during the weekdays when we are away at work. It’s when we wake up on the weekends typically around 8:30-40am it sounds off. We’ve checked the house and no signs of break in. It went off at the same time when we were on vacation, neighbor was there as he checks our home when we’re away and both he and the police found nothing when it went off at that time.

Any ideas? All we could think of is one of the sensors on a french doors that we put in ourselves isn’t reaching properly and it just so happens that’s where the sun hits when it riess - so not sure if it’s a heat thing and the wood expands (just guessing here).

When we called ADT they just tell us which zone so it could be either those doors or a diff set of windows, we’ve checked them and no signs of break in!

Anyone had this issue?

I’m renting a 2008 Dodge Avenger and every time I go to get into the damn thing I set the f*$%@ng alarm whether I use the remote entry or just the key…why in the F can’t I peacefully open the car without the alarm going off?? It was so embarassing…I was going to go to the store and I pressed the unlock button and it went off and I couldn’t figure out how to shut it off. A neighbor had to help me. I tried pressing the panic button, it just made the alarm go off faster, but when he did it, it shut off. So I got in the car, went to Walmart, went back to the car to leave, and tried just to use the key this time…NOPE! That car wanted to make me look like a jacka** again. A stranger had to help me. Lovely. He told me just to put the key in the ignition and sure enough, it stopped (although when I tried this the first time at home it did nothing). So how in the hell do I get in this car without the alarm going off????? Someone help me before I punch a f**king hole in the wall.
Only looking for useful information, thanks. I paid a good sum of money to rent this car and I just got it today…can’t trade it back. It’s mine for a week. The alarm isn’t broke, it works just fine. I simply can’t figure out how to make it so it doesn’t go off whenever I try to get in the car. So keep your smarta** answers to yourself.

My neighbor just got broken in yesterday and I’m thinking about put in the home security system at my house. Can anyone please recommend one? There are so many out there. I need to keep the cost as low as possible. If you have experienced with one please let me know what you think of them, the good and the bad.

it occured five or six times last night.

about once an hour a car cruised by and was drving by so fast that engine noise it made set off the alarm of my neighbor’s car.

i was able to identify the car type and my neighbor’s unsuccessfully tried running after the car.

this all occured in the middle of the night in between about the hours of 11pm-4am

what should i do about this situation?

It´s simple, home tired of long working hours, got sleepe at 10 o´clock and the stupid alarm of my neighbor car sound every 10:30, 11:30 pm,(3 days of the week). It has a cheap dlls one, I told helm that I pay for the repair, but wont do it. So It´s there any REMOTE Keycharn or something that I can Scan, and STOP the damn Alarm. got Ebay account, got Paypal accout. A Scanner or brand will help me. On my quest of stopping the dam car alarm.

I have "the neighbors from hell"! I have a house with a "through" driveway. My neighbors have decided that this driveway is theirs also..even though I have shown them on the city’s plot map that it is mine and only mine. In the beginning, I didn’t mind them using it. But, then she started a child care business, to which she watched around 10 to 14 kids at any given time. With that many children being dropped off and picked up, there are bound to be problems. I can’t count how many times I could not get out of my own driveway due to it being blocked by my neighbor. It even got so bad that there was a "major" traffic jam on my driveway…seriously!!!…then a fight..because nobody would move. The police have been called and informed me that it was a civil matter. I retained a lawyer and he said I should purchase surveillance cameras and get all this activity on film. I was also told to either tell my neighbors or post signs saying that videotaping was going on. Can anyone help

There was an earthquake in Los Angeles (where I live) a week or so ago. Ever since then, my 10 month old puppy has been barking at absolutely everything. She wakes me up in the middle of night if she hears the neighbor closing their door or a car alarm or a baby crying a block away. It is driving me nuts and for this reason I am loosing sleep as she barks randomly and wakes me up four or five times a night.

In doing some research I found that sometimes squirting water on a dog from a water gun when they bark at something unnecessary will help. I have tried this method and although somewhat effective the insistent barking still happens. I understand that as dogs grow into adults barking is a thing they do and in many cases is a way to get attention. I feel like she is doing so about half the time but at night is seems more to be nerves.

Any suggestions? I need my beauty rest.
