Suddenly my car alarm has begun to go on when the car is off — in the middle of the night, or anytime! Likewise the inside left-front "door open" bell and light go on when I’m driving even though the door is shut tight and locked! What’s going on? How can I fix it? This is driving us (and our neighbors!) bonkers!
p.s. It’s a 2001 VW Jetta.

i’ve been having some problems with home security at the new house i just moved into and please no suggestions on moving the price is amazing and the location and area is great does anyone know where i can buy the following items barbwire, beartraps, if there are legal landmines. a large net, and a tranquelizer gun. possible ghost traps as someone recommended or if anyone knows of one of those poltergiest hunter people im not sure if its a ghost i think just a pesky neighbor anyway heres my case i just moved into the neighborhood i have great neighbors but the past few weeks i’ve noticed unsual things i swear i saw a short bald guy masturbating in my backyard through my living room window then the next day i found a teddy bear stuffed with empty twinkie wrappers and his head ripped off and a poop on my george forman i know this sounds strange i swear im not crazy my neighbors think im on drugs i figured if i take it into my own hands i can get rid of the mortgage on my house.

Our neighbors have been causing major problems so we installed video surveillance. Now they move the cameras and block them. is their anything we can do? are they breaking the law?

I’m having a problem with one of my neighbors. Yesterday she ran me and my kids off the road. I want to get a surveillance camera that is hidden from view for my car because I took my video camera to the bus stop today and she seen it and waved at me. So the next time she starts her sh!t I can get it on tape and press charges against her.
I did call the cops and filled out a report. If she does kill me and my kids, then I want to leave my husband with the proof that she did it snd how and when.

and I’m wondering what tips anyone may have for a home in a high fire danger area? Tips on preparedness, etc. All the houses on our street have fire alarms on the sides of the houses, and the whole house has ceiling sprinklers. We also keep the brush on our hill cut down, but unfortunately, on both sides of our house, our neighbors don’t. Is there anything else we can do to protect our home?

There is a car parked on my street, and it’s alarm goes off a lot (eg at least once per day) and often at night, which wakes me up (and probably wakes up the neighbors)

I plan on leaving a note on his windshield (I know which car it is).

My question: Is there anything else I can do about it? Can I report it to the police, or to someone else?

my next door neighbors installed an alarm on their tool shed. It’s VERY loud, and not sure if it’s connected to any sort of alarm company or emergency dispatch or anything. They’re out of town on vacation for a week and the alarm has been going off for about 20 minutes now and it’s already driving me CRAZY. All the windows are closed, and the tv was on, so I can’t "muffle" the noise (luckily my kids haven’t woken up to it yet!). I CAN’T TAKE A WEEK OF THIS! I have no way of getting in touch with them, and even then I doubt they’d leave their vacatio nto come home just to turn off the alarm. is there anything i can do??? i don’t want to trespass on their property, but can I call non-emergency dispatch and have them come out and turn it off? or is there ANYTHING i can do?? THANKS!

what i want is to protect my wireless network so people like my neighbors cant view my computer files from their computers, or connect to my internet if they didnt have any.

Just three days after I buy my car, my neighbors use it as a table. They had cars of their own available, but the girl decided to put it on my car for some reason.

I was wondering what kind/type of alarm would be the best, so next time a neighbor tries to put their crap on it, the car alarm would go off and scare the hell out of whoever is touching my car.

i have the WORST neighbor. for starters, he uses my pool while im at work. i have and 8 foot fence surrounding my yard. i also notice that he uses a ladder that looks like one i used to have in my shed. i think he stole it and climbs the fence. he uses my hose to water his garden. he also has an extension cord running from my house to his. his wife "grocery shops" in my kitchen. i dont know how they get in my house. i am the only one with a key and change the locks about once a month. i even have and alarm system. i have told him many times that i dont agree with his ways. i have even got the police involved. they wont do anything and dont believe me. ( my neigbors wife sleeps with the police cheif so they can get away with crap). they get away with everything. i cant even get a restraing order!! i am at the end of my wits. i dont want to move because i love my house and other neighbors. by the way, my neighbor is the fattest redneck type you will ever see.!!! If I have external recorded surveillance cameras monitoring my home. All corners are covered and as a casualty of war, my neighbors houses are in the shot a little but are not the main focal point. I also record audio for my front porch in case someone breaks in and I have to use lethal force, it will be on audio me saying stop or I will shoot. If I put a steel 12ga slug in someone, I want to have my ass covered in a legal battle. Am I legally obligated to notify any neighbors who’s property can be seen on camera even if it is obvious the camera is for my home and am I required by law to post warning signs that you are being monitored? If so, how man, how far apart, how big… etc? Please do not post opinion, I want fact backed up by links to laws (local or federal). I really tried to look for an answer myself, but found nothing but opinion.

I’ve been staying in the burbs for a bit now and i’ve noticed that suburbanites act with a military-like precision. Like any good member of the armed forces, i see them wearing neatly pressed uniforms, eating prepared meals, coming and going in large groups at the same times everyday, constantly looking for signs of status or rank on each-other. they all do their pt at the same time, biking trails on weekends in their matching pt uniforms, leaving for deployments on holidays, ect.. well, you get the picture.
anyway, not having been received by the welcome-wagon, i’m wondering when i need to arive home from the bar so as not to look out of sorts and raise a scandal. Sitting on the porch, i’ve noticed that on most fridays and saturdays cars pile in to the complex at exactly 12 and 1am. Presumably the ‘partiers?’ When i go out, should i set an alarm for one of those times so as not to be drummed out of this tidy purgatory for missing my ques?
i ask because i’m not familiar with this type of environment, where people act in unison and call 1am a late night. if i roll in at 3 or 4 should i be expecting cops to stop me just for being out, or maybe neighbors making noise complaints over the sounds of footsteps on concrete?

Some of my neighbors have been entering my apartment with a key and have stolen at least 50 percent of all my papers. Apart from government tax forms, pay stubs and bills, there are also photographs and one illustration from a book I’d kept since I was 6, that I was looking to frame and display. I’m 50 now, and no longer have it. That probably upsets me most of all.

I’m not worried about identity theft from a credit point of view, but I find it very disturbing that someone would be profiling me in this way. Why would anyone do this?

Even a governing body would produce a warrant and come when I’m home?

I know they want to find anything to get me out so they can give this apt. to their own people… let me say at this point I am very quiet and keep to myself and don’t bother anyone. Yet just for putting my dishes away the other day, the police were called!

I spend my life online… who could I be bothering? I’m into photography and graphic arts, it doesn’t get any more interesting than that!

When I discovered what was going on, which amounts to a continuous exchange of documents back and forth up and down the street, I became terrified to leave my apt. For the last few months, I have only been going out twice a month when I absolutely have to, and come right back within a couple of hours. Even in that short time, they were still coming in. I also believe there is some kind of monitoring going on in here.

I’ve since had an alarm installed, there’s an extra expense I didn’t need, as I am currently unemployed. And, to tell you the truth, I still don’t really feel secure.

I want to sue for harassment, but feel I have to wait until I am formally confronted with something, because the proof I have is not enough yet.

There are too many of them who are in it together, against just me, although I have told everyone I know what is going on and that if some strange thing happens to me, where to look first.

she shook me
slapped me
poured water on me
and used my STUDDED BELT on me
and i was still asleep
i woke up and school was over
this has happened the past 4 days

My neighbors have called police on me and my family for stupid things. Daily for 2 months police came over. How do I handle it? I thought about surveillance equipment but I’m broke. My lawyer said he can’t fix being bullied by them. Some things they have called police for:
claims I stare at them when I check my mailbox (it’s near their house),
watering trees in my yard, taking out trash to the curb, basically any time I am outside of my house. They lie about calling them names too. I work 6 days per week and I have no time to do these things if I wanted to! We go to court in a few weeks over disorderly conduct which they filed against me for flipping them off after they cursed out me and my kids. The crazy neighbors live 3 houses down, only 3 houses are on this street (new subdivision). Next to my house is an empty lot then one house between mine and the psychos. They pick on me for being divorced and raising my kids alone by choice. I have never encountered them before, I never even knew their names until the police told me last week. They told me they "lived here first" and that they "rule the neighborhood".
What can I do to keep my sanity? I just want to be left alone!

I need to get my neighbors drug dealing activity on video. I don’t know what kind of camera to buy. The subjects are about thirty feet away, and I want to be sure to get clear video. Can someone explain about wide angle lenses, what would get a better picture, 3mm or 6mm?

my neighbors are getting fustrated from when i come home from work late, the chirping is a little bit of an annoyance, all i want the car to do is flash the lights. And also, how do you change the alarm siren, i took it in to get the passive arming turned on, and now the alarm sound is not the same and not great! can some one help me?
