Last night someone turned on the water faucet that is behind the shrubs. So, someone had to be scoping out the house my parents or "Mother" called the cops because she believed it was something serious. They found a golf club! Im guessing this person was going to beat whoever came out to check it out but punk out or we waited too long to even know that the water was even on. I heard it but didn’t think much about it and my sister thought it was raining lol.

I have been told by parents to test the network after a short scare. I need software which tries to crack/hack both types of encryption without any source data (like key or similar) needed. It needs to work with vista and a ralink (no idea what model but supports N both 2,4 and 5ghz) wireless adaptor. I will post my computers wireless adaptor too.

Alright, well I’m a good student, love school, and who gets good grades and I haven’t missed a day of school because i just felt like it. I think I was only absent once this year, and that was because of a field trip. I’ve barely missed any school in my life, besides when I was really sick, afraid of the fire alarm in 3rd grade and last year because of my little cousin’s death. Even then I went to school the day right after, even though it was hard, because I didn’t want to miss anything. Anyways, I really want to stay home. Not just because I don’t want to go to school, but because I am stressed out, haven’t slept all night, have loads of homework to do and study, that if I don’t finish I’ll fail, which I already am in Chemistry. Heck, I’ll even clean and avoid the computer. I’ll admit that I shouldn’t have procrastinated, it’s just a bad habit I have that I can’t get rid of. Ugh. And I doubt my parents want me to fail. Is this a good enough reason to stay home?
Well the test I need to study for is a make-up test on Tuesday, so I already know everything on it. And knowing my chemistry teacher, we’re not going to learn anything, or well she’ll attempt to teach, but because of her lack of teaching skills and overall weirdness, she won’t explain anything to us. And the homework that I have is an AP Assignment and our grade is basically made up of our assignments and our tests. I quickly can catch onto things if I miss anything. I’m already staying after for Chemistry Tuesday anyways. The only things we would be doing in AP Euro is either working on a review sheet for our test on Wed. or notes which are easy to get and understand. Thankfully I have good friends who are all good students so if I do miss anything, they’ll fill me in.

This morning I woke up to the sound of keys turning in my door lock. Then I heard doors opening in my house and footsteps, but by the time I got out of my room I heard the entrance door closing. Then I saw that the lock was broken in two. I notified the police, of course. I just never thought that this could happen to me. I live in an apartment at the 3rd floor in a 6 story building. The entrance door is made of thick wood, and only has one key lock, no other locks. No alarm, no camera. I have a bad feeling that the burglars might return again in a few days. How can I make my home safe from burglars? Please give me all the tips you can think of. Right now I’m trying to convince my parents to buy a metal door with several locks and alarm, but my dad seems carefree and only wants to buy an extra lock rather than change the door. I think it would be worth it though. I’m thinking of buying a pepper spray as well.
Actually, they didn’t use a copy key to break it. They must have used a big instrument because the lock was pulled out of the door and broken in the middle.
opinionatedmedic: I totally agree with you, but try convincing my parents of that lol. They’ve never let me keep a dog in our flat, and believe me I’ve brought puppies here at least 3 times…

My parents got an Alarm system From APX its a wireless LYNX system
but in my house there are 3 doors and 6 windows to protect (on the 1st floor)
and on the first floor they put in 3 door sensors and a motion detector
and on the 2nd floor just put a glass break sensor in one room and a glass break sensor in another room
will this be enough protection?
they are normal windows that slide up and down

My parents never set it until I got grounded and so now they have began to again. Okay, so tonight I was REALLY risky and I actually disarmed the system to get out. (I tried to cover up the thing with a pillow and blankets but the sound still sort of got through) And yeah. I guess I could keep doing that…but I would like a way to get out that is easier. I won’t be home alone so I can test this again until school starts again (January 5th) so can someone tell me if maybe placing something over the alarm control thing by the door would help more??? I turned on the shower when I came back and was arming it again so maybe that helped….

Ughhh. Help mee? I have been trying to read up on this particular alarm system but there isn’t really that much on it.

And btw, I like to go out my window so yeah. I guess I could go out the front door but I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather use the window….

Oh and I heard that there are two things in the window that would make it go off and if I separate those two things so that they don’t line up that I have just bypassed it for my window…is that true? I dunno if that is for this particular alarm system or not.

There is some people going around saying their from Honeywell and they’re selling alarm systems. I’ve heard that some people have been burgalarized almost right after this phony sales person comes to their homes. One of my dads friends was burgalarized last night. He had the phony sales person come up to his door yesterday, and he was burgalarized last night.
I’d watch for a beat up late model van with a trailer.

They don’t have business cards, or any identification. I’d watch for these people.

Lock your back doors and windows becasue that’s how they get in. Of course lock your entire house.

If you live near the airport and you just had new windows installed by the FAA look out. These phonys are looking specifically into these homes.

Well my subscription to Norton 360 just ended and my parents don’t have the money to put it on a computer, let alone 4. As much as I don’t want to ask this…. What are (is?) some "quality" security software that I can download for free? I never liked the idea of a free security system but I’m running on nothing right now.

Side note: I am afraid that whatever is out there will delete Norton altogether and I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. If (whatever) does delete Norton in order to work, can I just go out, buy Norton again (or something better) and have it replace the free software or will I need to keep Norton to get a new subscription?

If a security camera accidentaly happened to film with audio on many occasions , during the day, small children getting screamed at by daycare workers in their play area and then caught illegal alien activity at night. Would it be illegal to pass out DVD copies to all the childrens parents or would it be unethical not to??

hey guys i lifted the cover of the window sensor of the home alaram system at my house. i put it back on. Ever since then the alarm control panel keeps displaying 10 check. 10 is the room number of the sensor i opened. now i cant use my alarm anymore, also i dont have service but i still turne it on because when it got trips it still makes noise. can someone tell me why it keeps saying 10 check and how to fix it. I need to fix it before my parents discover i messed it up. they dont know hwo to fix it either. thanks

hey k I know this question sounds stupid but its pissing me off. I have one of these home securityy alarm systems and every time u open the door the system beeps. any way to stop it from beeping LOL cuz I have to sneak out without my parents wakeing up lol

I just got into foster care and being faced with allegations. So I just wanted to know if whether or not it is illegal to have audio and video surveillance in my home. Not to spy but to justify what is going on in my own home. I understand that it is illegal to have video in places such as the bedroom and bathroom. But is it illegal to have audio of the child in such places. And would they have to be aware of the audio recording in order not to be sued by parents.

I tried to update my parents’ expired virus software this evening on their PC, and I managed to somehow get Contraviro on the system. Since this has happened, Windows Security Center has gone wonky and won’t switch on. I’ve tried downloading various Malware detectors that articles online had recommended, but each of them say that they found the infected files but can’t for some reason get rid of them. How do I get rid of this detestable invasion and restore my parents’ computer to the way it was?

My cat is six years old. She had a history of serizures. I know that after they have a seizure, they tend to get very hungry and eat very fast. I always take the bowl away when she does this because I’m afraid she’ll choke. Right now I brought a small dish into my room and filled it with water for her. She was sitting there for five minutes just drinking it until I took it away. I didn’t want her to end up getting sick or choking. Other than the thirst she seems normal. Should I be alarmed?
If it’s an issue with her kidney does it require immediate medical attention or can it wait until the morning? Not that I wouldn’t take her, but I don’t have my license, it’s one in the morning, and my parents are asleep. Would more water be good or bad in this situation? Thank you so much for the feedback.
