First off, let me say the message prompts are on the wrong end of Windows XP backup. What good is it to know that you shouldn’t use a FAT32 partition, or that you don’t have a floppy disk drive, AFTER you’ve made the backup file? Would it really hurt to have messages like that BEFORE the file is created??
Anyways…I have my backup image on an external hard drive. The laptop DOES NOT have a floppy drive, so I was unable to create an ASR diskette. Is this disk absolutely necessary? Can I still recover the data from my backup? It is an "All Information On My Computer" backup…does that make a difference?

i am 35 weeks pregnant today and i have been getting contractions about every 10 minutes. I have been leaking clear liquid pretty much all day. it hasnt been a lot but ive had to change my shorts twice already because they were wet. It hasnt ran down my leg or anything and i havent had a huge "gush" but everytime i move i seem to leak more. I dont want to just go to the hospital and it be a false alarm. Could it be that my water broke? or what else could it be? Thank you!

I am currently using One Care Safety Scanner (Full Service Scan). And my ZoneAlarm Extreme Security scanned it and said it’s trojanware and is High risk. I went to Microsoft.com and downloaded the One Care Safety Scanner and on the same page theres a free Microsoft Security Essentials scanner which I downloaded. My ZoneAlarm Extreme Security is for some reason saying it’s "Trojanware". Heres what my ZoneAlarm said: "Backdoor.Win32.ServU-based was found in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Microsoft Antimalware\Support\MPLog-03012010-142526.log on 3/1/2010 14:57:38". Any help is much appreciated thanks.

Im thinking about getting a "Viper Pager Car Alarm System" for my car, but a friend told me that there’s an application on the Iphone that allows you to unlock the car remotely from the Iphone. is that true? or was he pulling my leg?

i work in the mall in NC and my employer, also the owner of the store, watches us through the cameras that are in the store from his house. he apparently can pull them up on the internet or something and watch us live?? he will sometimes call the store and ask questions like "why has this person been in the back for so long?" or "i see yall haven’t been busy since you’re just standing around behind the counter". i find this very creepy and strange and kind of an invasion of my personal space.

is this legal?? if not, what are the reason behind this? if somebody feels the need to waste their time watching their employees during the day, why don’t they just go to the store and work themselves?

Alright, a few days ago, i accidently set off my smoke detector, and i own an ADT security system in my home. And, when the system went off, the ADT panel said "05, Fire [Check]". I contacted my local fire station warning them it was just a false alarm, and let it slide. But, my panel still has that warning on there, and i was wondering if anybody knew how to fix it? We called ADT and they said to run all these tests, including using a hair dryer, a vacuum, and setting in our password, and things along that line. But, still no results, so if anybody knows anything to do, please contact me.

When i turn over my EFI car i get no crank, no starter/solenoid noise, lights come up on dash ok, and all i get is a hushing sound from the aftermarket alarm speaker (weird eh?), like a "sshhh" sound. Also the tacho indicator violently bounces up and down! Thats all it does. This was after I charged the battery overnight and put it back in.

I managed to jump start the car yesterday and the alarm speaker made a whining sound in time with the engine rpms, (like an alternator stereo buzz). I was able to drive it home but now I cant start it today.

I dont know what it could be, stuffed imobiliser? Alternator? Battery? Ground? Something else? Ideas?

Hello my fellow pregnant ladies/mommies…this is my first pregnancy, so please bare with me lol

I am 37 weeks pregnant, yesterday morning after I went pee, for about an hour after that almost every time I moved (on my feet at work) I leaked, and I’m not just talking about a tiny bit like when I sneeze…I was wet. I called my doc, and they said to go to the hospital to get a test to see if my water broke, which I did, and was told that the test came back negative, but that the nurse could feel my sons head, and that my cervix was pretty thin. The "leaking" had continued since then.

About 8 hours later, when I went pee, I had to wipe several times due to having the clear, light pink bloody mucus stuff. This happened several times last night, and then again this morning. I am having slight menstrual like cramps, but not regularly.

So I have a couple of questions…
1. Are these signs that labor could be sooner than my 3 weeks that I have left, or am I just getting anxious for the heck of it?

2. My boss isn’t happy with me having to leave work early yesterday, and now wants me to take the remaining time off instead of finishing this week and next week like I planned. Do you think this is a good idea or should I try to stick it out?

I have a doc appointment later today, but I’m trying to get some answers/opinions before then. Thanks!!!

EnvironMENTAList around the globe have been sounding the alarm about water running out for a long time. So, if they know what it’s made of…… why aren’t they making more? And I apply this same question to the "Need" for water treatment plants, water desalinization plants/schemes, search for water, drilling for water, rationing water, on and on and on…..AND the real answer is; Keep a commodity rare and or close to it and thereby get a higher price for said commodity. This in turn will keep the masses (Lill-old YOU AND ME) in fear due to the whole concocted notion of "Scarcity" (Of everything) mentality. WHAT SAY YEE?
This question really has more to do with the thought why isn’t water be made since we know what it is made of? Yeah, some people think this is a silly question. Fine, I’ve seen worse. But hey, if my question has entertainment value for you, then I don’t mind the put-downs for asking it.. I will just pay attention to and respect the serious and intelligent answers.
OH OOOOOOOOOO! I just discovered there is a word in my "Added" comments that was meant to be left out. I figured I’d better make mention of if before I get lambasted for that as well hey.

My husband and I have lived in our home for more than 14 years, and I have always felt comfortable and safe there. We have 3 kids(not kids anymore), the oldest 2 are our daughters, and the youngest is our son, just turned 14. When we moved into the house, both of my girls insisted that the house was haunted. They claim to have seen, heard, and felt different things through the years. When the girls got older, we fixed a room downstairs (a closed in carport) for our middle daughter, so that they each could have the privacy they insisted they needed and wanted. She would not and did not stay in that room. She insisted that there was something there, and it she was scared. I ‘ve always said that they had over active imaginations and could explain away the majority of what they were afraid of. My girls are now 23 and 20, and still insist that there are poltergist in our home.

This morning, while getting ready for work, my daughers alarm clock went off, so I went in to turn it off, and she asked if I saw her note? I said "What note?" "I taped it to the "TV Mom" she said. " I had already turned the TV on and there was no note. I said "There was no note". Being the bright sunny morning person that she is, she was fussing and mumbling and got out of bed and went to the living room. The scotch tape was of the coffee table. She said holding it up "See!" She turned towards the TV, no note. we got down on hands and knees, looking under tables and chairs and couch. Don’t know what happened to it, but the note is not here. She said that she left the note because she needed to borrow my car today. I said "OK, I’ll wake you up before I leave.", then she went back to bed and I went back into the living room. As I walked into the room I stopped and said "Tara, get in here! She started crying and said…"No mama….No mama… I don’t want to. you’re gonna tell me it’s there. " I said "Tara .. get in here" I went back to the living room, and THE NOTE WAS ON THE TV!
This is not BS or a hoax. This was the beginning of my day today. I have never felt uncomfortable in our home. When my father died, as I was falling asleep, I thought he was at the foot of my bed, and I was frightend, but I put that off to dreaming. The only other experience that I can think of was seeing a picture frame fall off the wall. I chalked it up to a draft or something. OH yeah, a TV that that turned off and on, but husband said it had a short in it.
I would love some feedback. What do you think it was? Has something like this happened to you? Should I be afraid?

Yeah, I’m trying to delete the Security Center Folder, but whenever i do, it keeps coming back after i refresh it or whenever i exit the editor and re-open it. How do i permanently delete it?
I have reasons to believe that this "Security Center" thing is a form of spyware, malware, etc. I am not trying to uninstall it, i am trying to get rid of it completely.

I’m planning on getting two indoor wireless security camera and one outdoor one.

Will it be advisable to put up some fake security cameras as well?

I live in a safe neighborhood and never had any problems the past 10 years, but better to be safe than sorry.

Can you give me any tips about both real wireless security camera and fake ones?

It’s just to keep the opportunistic burglars at "bay". I know nothing will keep out hardened criminals if they want to rob and kill me.

I have the CD that has a file labeled "Backup 03-10-2005" We have lost a lot of my sons pictures from when he was little and I am hoping that there are some on this backup but the problem I have is that I do not know what program was used to make the backup. How can I figure this out? Thanks
I try to open the file and it ask me what program I want to use. None work. The file type is FILE.

I have a 2003 Ford Explorer 4×4 with the V6. I have noticed since I bought it (a few months ago), it runs close to the 1/2 way mark on the coolant temp gauge (which I thought was sort of high). When I do over 70MPH for any length of time (interstate driving), or it’s more than 80 degrees outside and I turn on the A/C, the coolant temp gauge goes real high.

I just had the coolant system completely flushed and exchanged by a well-known automotive chain, and had them replace the thermostat while it was there. The temp gauge still reads at the 1/2 way point.

When the temp creeps up on me past 1/2 way, I simply turn on the heater, and it goes right back to "normal" after about 10 seconds or so… I would like some advice on what to have checked/replaced. I don’t think it’s a water heater, but possibly a heater core or maybe just the coolant temp sensor? Thanks!

Thanks for all of the answers everyone! I will check that coolant is moving through the radiator, will replace the coolant temp sensor (it’s cheap and accessible) and if that doesn’t help…I will look into the fan clutch, which is something I didn’t consider! Thank you everyone!

I have windows vista. I have Mcafee security. I just ran a Windows Update for the patch for "Security Update for Internet Explorer" and it says after installing, run a full scan on your system. How do I do that with McAfee?
