I’m setting up a surveillance system in my house, and I want to only have cameras that don’t record , and only send the video to a monitor, how do I do this? I liked these cameras http://www.barcodesinc.com/pdf/Samsung/gvbcc723.pdf
Is there any way I can connect them to a monitor without buying those expensive DVRs?
Hello!
I heard from a few of my friends that with T-mobile if you get a plan with their Android phone, you must pay a fee at the end of the month for data backup?
What if I get the unlimited internet service though. Would I still need to pay this data fee?
Or should I just get the Samsung Behold?
Thanks for your answers!
I’d like to hack an old cellphone with camera. Can the video that normally goes to the screen be diverted to somekind of output device? Ideally I would like to transmit the video via wifi.
OK - that’s not the direction I was trying to head, but is a nice alternative. Old School Samsung phone - with camera in the flip lid w/display on other side. Can’t feed the CCD (?) in to a USB cable, maybe somekind of small project board in the middle, buffer, amp, graphics chip, battery powered wifi card of some type.
I have a samsung lcd 46inch, and a defender sentinel 11 security cam. I cannot get the pip to show cable tv while viewing the cameras. the cable shows fine, but the right side is never showing the camera feed. but will show if viewing the camera only with all (4) cameras. can anyone help please..Thanks
Hi,
I'm going to buy a new HDD. It will be the system disk only, as I already have a data/backup one.
I'm looking for a very silent disk, especially during read/write. I can't bear raptors anymore !!!!!!!
But I've red that the quieter drives (Hitachi P7K500 and WD Caviar GP) are also very slow…
So I consider buying two or three and set them in RAID0.
What would be the best compromise ?
-Seagate Barracuda 7200.11
-WD Caviar GP
-Hitachi P5K500
-Samsung T166
-Seagate Momentus 7200.2 (2.5")
Is there a big noise difference between them ? and speed ?
Is it better 2 or 3 (or even 4 ?) disks in RAID0 ?
Storage size doesn't matter; as a system disk with a few apps only, no data, no security issues, I only need 100 or 200 gb. So I'll take the smallest available.
Don't talk about SSDs : they are far too expensive… Maybe next year…
Thank you for advices
I've installed 4 samsung surveillance's cameras. I've networked them to see live video from the shop while I'm at home through the internet. I have a simple player that will record 10 mins at a time. I need to record from the time I leave at night to when I get back the next morning. Don't have much money for further equipment. Is there free or cheap software or something I can get to record as much video as I need for when the shop is closed.
I would love to use the vcr for recording…I need to know how to do this from home, using a video capture card and a vcr? Help me please….
