What kind of camera can I get and how will it work? I am adding a link to a camera I saw on EBay below. Someone is stealing my packages outside the door of my house and I want to catch them but I don’t want a big security camera hanging from my front door I want something that can go in the peep hole of my door very discreet and inexpensive. The driveway is about 2200 feet from my house and there is a phone jack at the gate which is connected to the house landline [ and my DSL]. Is there a way to use the phone jack to hook up a security camera or ‘webcam’ that I can monitor from my computer?

I work in a small home town restaurant that has been telling their employees that they have a security camera. to monitor the help and customers. my question is, don’t they have to post somewhere in the building that it is being monitored, also they say the cameras are hidden. Is that ethical?

I am looking for a single-camera, wireless security camera that will continuously transfer 1 week of video to a hidden hard drive. This transfer has to be wireless so he cannot find the hidden hard drive/memory card.

can my webcam be used as a security camera

I was wondering what Kind of components or wires I need in order to extract the memory from a security camera Hard Drive.

My husband and I have been finding beer cans in the back of our property, and are afraid someone is creeping around. Should we get wild game motion activated cameras? We have donkeys, so I’m afraid all we’ll get is them moving around. Or is there a good security camera we could get? Anyone with experience on this, please leave input.

I bought a Qsee model QSWLOCR security camera online and did not see the option of checking it online, but i know on householdhacker.com they show you a list of camera numbers and you copy and paste it into google and you can now view the camera. So how do you get that number to type in? Or another option i have is how to make the antenna stronger. i am like 10′ from being able to pick up the signal where i want it and i just wanted to know if maybe there was a way to make the antenna better

The security camera does not have s-video, only rca outputs. I assume I could buy a converter, but do not know how the computer would recognize that it is a camera. What about splicing a camera usb cord and attaching it to rca cables. Would that bring up media player and play it possibly?
