Suggestions? Everything else on the alarm works, keyless entry, LED status and everything.
The alarm siren is constantly going off when its connected. The 1.3v signal is just enough to make it go off, but not very loud. Thanks

We just bought a Honda Accord that was used as an undercover unit. The police lights are hidden inside the head and tail lights. There’s also what we think is a siren. Could we use the equiptment for a car alarm?
I’m thinking not likely, but man that would be cool. We recently had our other car broken into and I know those thugs would be gone with the quickness if when the car alarm went off, it was those side lights and a very load siren.

I have a Nissan and when i went to church left my car at the parking lot someone broke in by braking the window. I thought that all the cars that you buy have an alarm system, but, how come the alarm never went off? I my have the car remote and it has that button to make the siren go off. So i thought that mean that the car has an alarm, so i didn’t worry till know. So was it some professional that disabled the alarm or what happened? So i want to know what to look in my car and how to know that i have a good alarm system(Like if it has a blinking light or a sticker) or what to ask the mechanic what to put in or to do or how to make sure it don’t happen again?

my neighbors are getting fustrated from when i come home from work late, the chirping is a little bit of an annoyance, all i want the car to do is flash the lights. And also, how do you change the alarm siren, i took it in to get the passive arming turned on, and now the alarm sound is not the same and not great! can some one help me?

I am trying to put a siren wire from the wall to a battery area but I can’t make any holes with a drill. My drill is 500 rpm. do I need more rpm or something special bit?

95 honda accord that at one time had an aftermarket alarm installed into it. the alarm was an entry level viper installed around 2000-2001. The keypad has been gone for a couple of years but somehow the alarm has been set. now it goes off any time i shut the door to the car to get in. i can still start and drive the car with the alarm going off but the lights flash and the siren sounds. how do i make it stop?
i should also mention that my car is a piece of junk and i am not willing to spend any money on taking it to a shop for this. i am looking for somebody who can tell me what i need to do to get the alarm our of my car by myself.

the actual siren doesn’t work but the alarm works. do i need a new siren or is there a fuse in the siren i can change? or would it be the wiring?

i’ve heard of the immobiliser, remote start and the usual siren. what else is available?

Only an idiot would have the "nothing bad will ever happen to me attitude". I’m not scared. But on the other hand, I know something could happen (no matter where I live). We live in an apartment now & I’m used to having neighbors who watch out for each other (and who would try to rob an apartment? lol) My parents’ house in a nice, PA suburb was broken into when I was 12 and my college dorm was as well. So the thought is always with me.

I’m trying to figure out what kind of car makes this alarm sound. It was more popular a few years ago, and there was even a commercial where the offending car got smashed. The alarm cycles through about 6 or 7 different sounds(Beep, Beep, Siren, High/low, whoop whoop, Honk Honk).

What I want to know is, what kind of car? and would really like a sound clip.

What is the best Wireless Home Security Monitoring System w/ siren… one that would monitor all windows & doors including Garage. I’ve seen ads for ADT, Brinks, GE. Looking for the best system, and ease of installation. (Not sure an installer is necessary or if do it yourselves are just as good.)

I’ve never really shopped around for a car alarm before, but my factory key fob broke and the alarm is outdated, I want to get one with 2 way paging. I’ve seen pretty decent looking ones on E-bay like autopage, just looking for any recommendations what might be the best alarm I can find for about 0 (either in person or online, ebay, etc)

I don’t need anything too fancy, mainly just a well functioning 2 way pager, ignition kill, and I’d like it to be compatible with a 2 stage proximity sensor and pain siren if I decide to add those in the future. (I’d like to have the option to make the proximity sensor chirp only, and not actually set off the alarm)

One other thing that would be very nice is if I can choose between different siren tones rather than one genaric one.

Any suggestions?

My car was being hit twice in a year but didn’t see who did it , even I have insurance to covered it up. But I don’t want it happen again , so I am thinking about installing an alarm so it warns me or anyone nearby , and the only thing I worry is that the alarm might goes of too easily ,can you adjust the siren to sound only one minuate or two incase it goes off accidentally?

If so, I had a few questions.

1. How good is the system (if it sits on your table, is it still reliable?)
2. How fast do they call when you have a false alarm?
3. How loud is the siren?
4. Will it actually work to ward off intruders/

I have full remote control functionality, can arm/disarm the car alarm, use command start, but the alarm siren will not shut off. It continually shrieks whether the alarm is armed, disarmed or in alarm mode (tripped alarm. All works well, but for some reason the siren won’t stop going off! Any ideas?

My home was prewired for an alarm system and after recovering from the fall after hearing how much they wanted to install an alarm I am kicking around installing one myself. I have rung out all the wires going to the window and door contacts and to the power and siren wires in the attic as well as traced a wire to the upstairs master bedroom wall. My problem is that I cannot find the downstairs panel wire or the motion sensor wire. help!!!

i was on my way home then at like 9: 15 there was this like loud alarm then a few minutes later there was a helicopter! i listened to the radio for a few minutes and didn’t hear anything about it. the alarm lasted about a minute. i have no idea what this meant. any idea what this was?

it sounded like one of those signals they send out when an area is in lock down and they are gonna destroy it, but it was just one big noise not 3.in the suburbs, not sure about the nuclear and military stuff

I have a '99 volvo S80 with the security package (including an interior motion sensor, inclination sensor, and primary battery/ backup battery powered alarm). If a tow truck driver were to tow my car the alarm would go off, it's very sensitive. Is there anything they could do to my car to stop the alarm while it's going off? Otherwise the person would have to deal with the alarm for quite a while. This is obviously speaking in terms of towing I didn't authorize, no one wants to come back and find their car missing from where they left it.
They wouldn't be able to get at the fuses though, because it's locked. I mean I figure they're not going to care about an alarm going off. And it has a backup battery, so when the main battery power gets to a certain level the backup takes over. It obviously doesn't have the same capacity as the main batt though, but can keep the signals flashing for 24 hours cuz the siren doesn't stay on the whole time (or so I've read). I guess the tow truck driver wouldn't care, but I pity the poor sucker who's sitting in the impount lot

Not that I park illegally though anymore than I have to- but I do live in LA and am in Hollywood alot, and there's never any parking there so you can get the picture. Everyone in LA has to illegally park sometimes, but I try not to leave my car there that long.
