and my car will not ignite. it turns over so i know its not battery has to be alarm. i think paint people pushed the buttons and its in some kind of wierd mode. is there a way to disengage alarm so that i can start my car. maybe a reset or something of that nature. my car has been at paint shop gettin a scratch touch up and who knows how many times they have pushed alarm keychain buttons. could it be valet mode, if yes what is that and how to i fix. thanks in advance, respectfully

I have a car. and the remote button will not unlock the car unless i am about 2 yards from it. Would i have to replace the batteries in the remote? or would i have to get a new alarm system?

In any case, how would would it cost for anther alarm system.
I just want to be able to lock my car. No need for the blaring sound.

I’m trying to install the most current version of Trend Micro Internet Security 2007 (version 15.3, I believe). Now it SAYS it is completely Vista certified, but when I try to install it, it says that a "fatal error in the OS has prevented installation" or something like that. But this is a BRAND NEW laptop, never been used for anything, just bought it TODAY. Sometimes, I get another error message saying that "You must be an administrator to install this software"…etc, but I am already on the administrator account.

Anyone else have this problem? Or maybe you’re just really smart and know how to fix it?

So I’m flying from California to Ohio next week. With me, I’m taking my iPod touch. I’ve heard a lot about airport security searching anything that holds data, but most of those incidents have been international flights. I’ll be quite honest, i probably have 150+ pirated apps on my ipod. Should i be worried about them searching/copying my ipod? More info can be given if you need any. Thanks in advance.

Hello, The condensators on my motherboard just kicked the bucket, and I really need to backup my data on my laptop ASAP. The Harddrive is intact, but I don’t know if I can contact it to the laptop to have read/write access and copy my data. I really hope you can help.

So I work for a small company with about 6 computers in our office.

Currently we have a network setup this way.

One computer holds all of our company’s data and through the "Share this Folder on Network"
One of the problem is that I use this computer (with all of the data) for my work, and the computer crashed with virus or for whatever reason this second time.
I feel that the data is so vulnerable to the computer failures and exposure to the virus to Trojan threat. And sometimes the network folder stops working for a reason that I do not know. ( I am a complete computer newb when it comes to networking.)

1. What is the simplest and safest method to separate this data for security and ease of access? (seperate computer? seperate external drive? is there a database computer?)

2. What is the best way to setup a backup system? Should I use Windows backup program? and what type of back up, copy? normal? what are they?

3. Is there a way to setup a program that requires the employees to login initially?

I tried to look up SQL data server but I was completely lost, and its something I cannot handle. I guess I am looking for a simple solution, with some leads to how I can go about fixing this problem

Well, im a very heavy sleeper…and my mom has to wake me up to go to school (i go to college) and every morning, she has a tough time waking me up and She says she calls me so much and only after about 10 minutes is when i respond. I truthfully dont hear her till then! I dont know what happens that im such a heavy sleeper and cant hear anything, nothing like alarm clocks,radios,water,non of that wakes me up!! I know its embarrassing since im already 20! does anyone know what to do in this case? or an tips so i can be a lighter sleeper?? serious answers please!!!!!

I am thinking about buying a new Apple iMac, with OS X Leopard installed. I have heard about the new feature Time Machine. I already have an external drive, (320GB) but it also has a backup of my Windows computer and other files already on it. Will Time Machine still work with these files on it or will it/i have to delete these files, so does it need a clean drive? Real information only please, no guesses.Thanks in advance.

Just a few questions. My new (used) car has power locks so I’m wondering if its possible, as well as cost involved, to get those locks put on a remote locking device. Also, I’d like the same remote to function as a remote starter! Cost for this as well.

Also, how much is a basic car alarm running nowadays? For the alarm AND install?

If I could get a good cost estimate on those things, it would help a lot.

I own a Toshiba laptop, which, about 2 days ago, we used the product recovery program to restore it to factory settings, and we then re-installed everything.

After doing this, I have realised that we forgot to backup a load of files, and they have gone missing.

Those files just happen to be some of the most important files that we have.

Is there any hope of getting the files back? I would only like free software please.

Is this normal puppy behavior? I understand all puppies need time to adjust and adapt, but, my husband and I got a Yorkie puppy (9 weeks old) about five days ago, and the puppy wants to be held ALL the time. She whines and yelps every time someone leaves the room even if there are still other people in the room with her. It isn’t enough for her to be next to someone or playing by our feet, she wants to be in our laps or held or else she whines, and yelps nonstop. It is the same thing at bed time.
I’ve tried the warm water bottle and alarm clock trick. We want her to learn to sleep in a crate at night, but she’s so loud that she keeps the entire house awake for hours until we get exhausted and let her sleep in our bed so she can sleep on us (again, because she wants to be held). Is this normal puppy behavior that will get better? Or does our puppy have more extreme separation anxiety than usual? Is it normal for a puppy to want to be held ALL the time and yelp if it is not?
I have a 5 year old miniature Schnauzer we’ve had since he was a puppy, and he didn’t insist on being held all the time so I’m not sure what to think.

*Dogmatic-I do not pick her up every time she whines. I tried ignoring the yelping and whining yesterday and she continued for over four hours. My kids were walking around with their fingers in their ears and I had a headache trying to break her of this. After hours, I end up picking her up out of desperation for her to stop for some peace. She’s a little extreme. Am I supposed to ignore her for over a day? Even in a crate with door closed she’s very, very loud.

I am searching for a decent (not too cheap, not too fancy) wireless home security system to place outside my attached garage. I would like it to be completely wireless, including cameras, if possible. A monitor, preferably handheld. And weather resistant, including cold temperatures in the winter.
