Can I hook it up to my VCR for long recording or does it record for hours? I am trying to use this for surveillance in my house for 8 hours plus. Can someone tell me about this?
I am wanting to put a surveillance camera inside my house for 8 + hours and I want to connect it to my VCR. I don’t have a lot of money to buy a whole lot of equipment. What kind of equipment do I need? And that records sound.
Do I get a web cam and how long will it record?
i need something to record over and over again from a video camera. a vcr would be easiest for my application but I can try and use something digital If vcr is a bad idea. what do home security systems video systems record on?…Im not doing anything with security by the way.
I have a security camera that has wires which plug into a VCR recorder. Is there a way to wire the camera directly to a flash drive? Or is there something i can buy which will do this?
OK, the VCR is an older time lapse surveillance unit. It has an F-type In (standard cable TV connection) and an F-type out. The only RCA out is audio. I want to convert the F-type out signal so that the RCA Video In on the monitor will accept it. The F-type out on the VCR would be sending both video and audio… right? My brother mentioned a demodulator. Any ideas. Thanks
Ok so im trying to figure out how to run this camera its 1200 feet so i have a Wireless Camera and a Wired Security Camera and a VCR and i thought about running it off of a car battery with a DC AC converter the wired and Wireless camera dont use much power both use 12 volts but how long would the battery last running the VCR and the camera from the 12 battery
Can I use small digital cameras with a VCR. I want to get as much video on one tape as possible.
my pc. I’m trying to record surveillance from my shop using network cameras I can see from home through the internet. If this is possible how does this work?
I would love to use the vcr for recording…I need to know how to do this from home, using a video capture card and a vcr?
SVAT WSE201 Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Color Night Vision Security Camera System with Audio
I don’t want to go buy a VCR and record it onto tape. Is there a way to record the video directly to my computer…i.e. a program that will record from the camera?
I have several cell-phones with video camera, and I was wondering if there was a way to rewire the camera to an old vcr or something to record the video feed, and thus creating a security camera?

I just bought a wireless security camera system for home. The signal is transmitted via 2.4Ghz signal to the receiver which is output to the VCR for recording. Problem is that it knocks out my internet wireless network which is also running on 2.4Ghz. Is there any way to work around this? My only option I can think of is to plug all my PCs via ethernet cable.
Okay what I need to be able to do is record my neighbor when she is having her out bursts shouting and yelling at me and throwing stuff at my cars aparently the way I look sets her off. That is a whole different story though I need the audio and the video to work preferably through my computer or some reasonably priced system we don’t have a vcr and I want it to record over longer periods of time and to be able to make replay these things to the police when she lies about what she did. The police have gotten somewhat wise to her since they actually asked her what she meant by things the last time and she told the police that the dog was loose if he was on a leash! and that the curb was the street and that was where she was going to put the garbage she also told them that if she couldn’t make me move my car from the public road that she would park on the street blocking the drive way so we couldn’t get out once i have documentation of her threatining me I will file a restraining order
I want to hook up my security camera to monItor to VCR already have it hook to monitor now i want to go to vcr
I’m looking for something that’s less than 0, that will monitor my back yard, ideally something wireless. I would like something that can stream to a computer, so wireless b/g is needed. Also, I would prefer something that was able to take decent images at dusk, because one of the concerns I have are deer eating at my garden. I don’t want to have to buy a 24hr VCR, or any other equipment, but streaming to a hard drive is no issue.
If possible I’d like something that was motion activated, so that I don’t have to sit through 12 hours of video every time a deer eats something.
Also, any software recommendations for this would be appreciated.
How much will I need to spend?
Those seem like a little bit of overkill. I don’t need super high quality footage. Just good enough to see where the deer are coming from, and which way the person who keeps stealing my humane squirrel traps comes from.
I need one with the following features:
1. wireless
2. records onto a VCR, DVD or a computer
3. can be viewed online (but not necessarily)
4. weather proof
5. good night vision (for at least 50 ft)
6. as cheap as possible
I've installed 4 samsung surveillance's cameras. I've networked them to see live video from the shop while I'm at home through the internet. I have a simple player that will record 10 mins at a time. I need to record from the time I leave at night to when I get back the next morning. Don't have much money for further equipment. Is there free or cheap software or something I can get to record as much video as I need for when the shop is closed.

I am not home much, but would like to be able to record what goes on outside my home when I am not there. I did have an outside camera attached to a VCR recorder and it would tape up to 6 hours, but that recorder broke. If at all possable, I would like to be able to plug it into my computer and record onto a disk. Also, I would like to record as much as possable. If it is possable, what would be the longest I could record?
