I was at walmart this morning and noticed a guy in a white chevy tahoe driving around the parking lot. He drove past my car and I noticed he had a video camera mounted in the windshield, like on a bracket. He then parked in the next row, almost directly behind my car and I went in to the store. When I came out 10 minutes later, he was gone.
I then proceeded to drive down the road to go home and I saw another white vehicle, a chevy astro van with the same type of setup. This second vehicle had a weird camera, almost like an outdoor surveillance camera mounted in the window, while the chevy tahoe just had a regular camcorder.

What the hell were they doing?

Also, the tahoe looked like it had hidden lights (like cop lights) in the grill of the car, and he had those silver spotlights on either side of the car– like cops have.

I can’t figure it out, I’m sure it was just a coincidence, but it creeped me out! Maybe they were private eyes?

i dont even know if this exists but if it does can you give me details on how much it will cost where can i buy it and i live in the uk.

a camera wall mounted and the footage that is being caught on the camera is being transferd to a handheld device which you can watch the feed from your camera as it plays at that exact moment without needing to change batteries or charge it.

and mabey a sensor thing connected to your walls infront of your front door so when someone enters your house the sensor things turns on and it alerts you on your handheld camera.

i have a video camera but i have to charge that every couple hours and i go away a lot for a week or so

I’m having a problem with one of my neighbors. Yesterday she ran me and my kids off the road. I want to get a surveillance camera that is hidden from view for my car because I took my video camera to the bus stop today and she seen it and waved at me. So the next time she starts her sh!t I can get it on tape and press charges against her.
I did call the cops and filled out a report. If she does kill me and my kids, then I want to leave my husband with the proof that she did it snd how and when.

can someone tell me how to install surveillance video camera for the front and back of my home i would like to put camera at the frount and back doors i thank you for any help that you may be able to give me nettie

i need something to record over and over again from a video camera. a vcr would be easiest for my application but I can try and use something digital If vcr is a bad idea. what do home security systems video systems record on?…Im not doing anything with security by the way.

and it pans back and forth but it stops at my desk more than the whole room and its more like a video camera than one of those you see that are black and white this one tapes better than my camcorder.
my boss has a monitor on his desk and the controls to it am i thinking wrong or is he peeping on me lol

I live in a quiet and relatively crime free neighborhood. Never had any problems the last 13 years I’ve lived in my house.

But I work a lot, and my 79 years old mother and my 46 years old slightly mentally handicapped brother lives with me.

My concern is for them. I’m planning to install a 3 outside infra-red video camera. One in the front of the house, another by the garage, and the last one in the back porch area. It’ll be professionally installed and will either be wired or wireless. Have not decided yet.

My question is: Am I wasting my money? Like I said, crime rate is nil where I live. But I figure it’s a good investment just for my peace of mind.

I’d imagine most burglars and "bad people" will go to an easier target once they see a surveillance camera.

I have a LED Infrared camera that I want to take out of my house. I want to know if there is a portable box or something I can hook it up to that will record what the camera takes in.

Sorry it’s kind of long , my english isn’t very good and i want to describe the whole thing as completely as possible.

today i went to kohl’s at mall , when i walk out of kohl’s with another guy i don’t know ( i mean i thought i was walking out by myself ,but then i found out there’s someone who walk out with me the same time),the alarm rang .

Then the guy who stand next to me smiled at me , and he went to the cashier ( he have brought something from kohl’s i think , he have a shopping bag with him) and took out the items from the bag and show off the receipt , then he walks out with the bag again .
I think the alarm also rang when he steps out , i can’t remember.
i assume If he steals something , then he can’t walk out so easily .
But i didn’t steal anything and i didn’t buy anything either expect i’m wearing a dress i brought from kohl’s a long time ago , but i already cut off the tag when i brought it home .

then i stood there and see if the cashier and the mature lady(maybe she’s a manager) who stand next to her will asked me to go to them and let them check my purse , but they didn’t waved at me or come to me or anything , so i just go out , but when i go out , the alarm rang again ! - _-’
so i stood there and giving sign like what’s happening ? what’s wrong with the alarm ? also i was checking if they still need to asked me to go to them , but again , they didn’t call me or anything , so i just leave.
n they didn’t run to me when i leave either , i didn’t walk too fast.

so what i’m asking is , will they think i steal something and leave without letting them to check my purse ? I’m really worry that they’ll accuse me of robbery or something , there’s also a video camera that record my face .

I also went back to kohl’s after 3 hour later , i was thinking , if they really think i’ve done something , they’ll catch me when i walk in to kohl’s , but nobody come out to talk to me and when i leave the store ,the alarm didn’t rang anymore .( good ! why does it have to rang earlier ?- _-’

if i contact the customer service, i was going to asked them if they think i steal something and will accuse me of robbery cus i just walk away , so i think they will at least answer my question .
But maybe i should just forget it ,right ? i told my mom about it ,too , and she said there’s nothing to worry about it , since they didn’t come to me or call me .( although the guy who stand next to me just walk to them without them calling him .)

i need to watch watch movies which are about surveillance. not surveillance via video camera, but by other means too e.g. computers, credit cards, spying etc. Can some please reccomend any movies (not really old ones) that i should watch. Many thanks

I just want a deterrent for an average "joe" burglar who will see the camera and say, "I’ll move on to a safer house"

I’m thinking of getting one that’s pretty authentic looking and in fact can house a hidden real camera inside if I decide to get a real one.

What do you think. I’m not a criminal, but if I saw a video camera, I would be careful whether if I thought it was real or not.

I suspect some is stealing stuff from my desk. Is there any software that enables me to use my webcam as a surveillance video camera? Possibly motion activated? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a video camera. I can hook it up to the pc. I was thinking of putting it inside but facing the door so I could see who is knocking..etc. Probably just want it to stream and not save the file. Thanks.
Also, it would be nice if I could have it hooked up to my desktop and be able to see it on my laptop. Is there anything that is FREE that I can use for doing that? I know how to network computers but I’m not sure how I could get the video with out saving it.. Otherwise how could I see it streaming on the laptop?

We’ve had a rash of vandalism on our street (neighbor had a rock thrown through their front window, cars broken into, etc) and I was thinking of setting up a video camera on the roof of my house to watch the street. What, if any legal aspects are there of doing this in the USA?

I see you can buy a DVR box to hook up with the video camera. But if you already have a DVR box from Verizon can you just use that? Or does the DVR box have to be specifically for the security camera?
