It wouldn’t be a problem if I lived in a home, because that thing would have been ripped out of the wall ages ago. But, I live in an apartment and it goes off even when water is being boiled with the window open!

I told the maintenance, and they took the bag off of it and told me to turn it off through the fuse box. I did EXACTLY as they told me to, what do I hear as I am frying sausage? BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.

I am at my wits end, what do I do?? They keep coming to inspect it.
I should do it in front of them to show them how ridiculous it is. How the hell does a boiling pot of water produce enough steam to set of a smoke alarm? If that was the case my shower would be setting it off too if it was closer!

i have the WORST neighbor. for starters, he uses my pool while im at work. i have and 8 foot fence surrounding my yard. i also notice that he uses a ladder that looks like one i used to have in my shed. i think he stole it and climbs the fence. he uses my hose to water his garden. he also has an extension cord running from my house to his. his wife "grocery shops" in my kitchen. i dont know how they get in my house. i am the only one with a key and change the locks about once a month. i even have and alarm system. i have told him many times that i dont agree with his ways. i have even got the police involved. they wont do anything and dont believe me. ( my neigbors wife sleeps with the police cheif so they can get away with crap). they get away with everything. i cant even get a restraing order!! i am at the end of my wits. i dont want to move because i love my house and other neighbors. by the way, my neighbor is the fattest redneck type you will ever see.!!! HELP!! funny idea acceptd

My husband & I have been together for close to 4 years now & I’m at my wits end. Every morning since we’ve been married I’ve had to wake my husband up. He doesn’t hear any alarm clock & I have to sprinkle water on him, shake him, & repeatedly call his name to get him to wake up. However, he also holds conversations in his sleep so sometimes I think he’s awake when he really isn’t.

He’ll get VERY grumpy & says hurtful things during these sleep/wake episodes, & he’s shocked when I tell him about it later; he never remembers it, but he’s always deeply regretful and feels terrible about it when I tell him. He is normally a VERY considerate & loving (so PLEASE don’t tell me to leave him; I won’t).

I’ve looked at some sleeping disorder websites & nothing really seems to match; no one even addresses the anger. Does he need to do a sleep study? On the weekends I can just let him wake up on his own & he’s just fine, & he goes to sleep just fine at night too.

Any ideas?

Wow, what a bad day I'm having.

I'm facing some probs with my laptop off late, my "D" drive in particular has been giving me probs since sometime now. I have put some games on my D drive and whenever I'm playing them, my laptop just shuts down, without any warning and stuff. Just OFF ! So I thought I'd scan my entire laptop with Kaspersky Internet Security suite, take a backup of all the useful files and then format the whole system.

While the scan was in progress however, the electricity went off and so did my laptop. When the lighs came and I turned it on, I saw that 5GB data of my D drive had vanished in thin air. And its just the D drive that suffered this data loss.

All my important data has just VANISHED !!! I just tried a recovry tool called "GetDataBack for NTFS" but it too didn't detect the 5GB data which I lost.

I'm at my wits end. All that data is very important for me. Please suggest me a solution to this prob. Please temme some application or something

I use Windows XP Service Pack 1.

I have tried re-installing Windows, reinstalling those games and stuff, in the past. My laptop has not screwed up since a long time. The "SUDDEN TURN-OFF" problem used to occur 1 mnth back. But its not occured since 1 mnth now.

I donno whats wrong. Please help

I have a smoke sentinel alarm from the 1970’s on my ceiling in my apartment & it keeps beeping driving me & my neighbors insane. It doesn’t work on batteries & I am at my wits end!! Please if u have any info let me know! Thanks!
